The Crafter's Cafe challenge #204 - DT card

Re-do of Cuttlebug Mania DT card

I finally had a chance to do a few additional challenges.  This week Cuttlebug Mania featured cards from their first blog post 5 years ago.  I chose to do my version of Rachel's card.
I followed her layout, and used a large butterfly, but used dark brown, gold and cream. I like the layout, and the large butterfly - which I seldom have a chance to use!  I used my Platinum6 machine and a Cuttlebug die to do the floral strip just below the butterfly. All other elements are from a Kanban kit I have had for a few years - except the Hot Off the Press birthday sticker and a strip of Washi  tape.   IRL the sticker is gold, and the butterfly has more gold than appears here.
5th anniversary:  Cuttlebug Mania
Beauty of Nature:   Incy Wincy
Wings:    Make my Monday
Any (10 CH max):   Polkadoodle.

SCS TeaPotParty for the Mitchell family

A few weeks ago the SplitCoastStampers Tea Pot Party send cards to the Mitchell family - they are grieving the recent loss of several family members.  I am late to the party but wanted to send a thinking of you card.
Image - SU Herb Expressions; all papers from a new to me Scrap Pad from K&Company; a bit of Washi tape; green gems. I have used some very favorite dies - the Spellbinder circles.

HB, Hal - Final Post as GD for Scribbles Designs

For this card I used:  Birthday Cake and Hat, available at Scribbles Designs.

This is my last post as a guest designer for Scribbles Designs.  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to try new images, and for a chance to get acquainted with the team.   I have enjoyed this immensely - the time has passed all too quickly.  Thanks to everyone, especially Lisa.

This design is a bit outside of my comfort zone - I do not usually use colors quite as bright as these, but I thought the DP fit the party theme!  I colored with water color pencils and an aqua pen.  The sentiment is a metallic embellishment.  I die cut the "flower" in two colors to provide contrast.  I tried to keep a masculine look - this is already in the mail to our grandson.  He is actually in grad school (veterinary medicine) but I have overused the hunting/fishing/student themes!

COZY

This is the card I made for the inspiration post this week at Scribbles Designs.  This image is called Cozy.  It has already been sent, and received by our Granddaughter-in-law.  She has a beloved dog named Gracie - do you see her name?  She loved the card, and told us that Gracie's favorite spot is on the back of the sofa!  Check out the lovely inspiration photo for the weekly challenge here.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is a freebie available at the Scribbles Store.
I used papers from a DCWV Stack called Teens, and a snippet of ribbon from my stash.  I added a few bones - I have a tiny punch from the $ bin at Michaels!

Flower Pot - GDT card for Scribbles Designs

It is time for more inspiration for the current challenge at Scribbles Designs.  You have until Nov. 14 to submit your entry.  See the details here. We hope to see your entry soon!
For this card, I used the image called Flower Pot, available at the Scribbles store.

I used Prisma colored pencils and some shiny gel pens to color the image.  The DP is from my stash, and the strip at the left is Washi tape.  The flower was a prize from the Netherlands - the label says RMS.
To back the image I used a technique from the current Falliday Fest challenge at SplitCoastStampers.  The technique called for inking up an acrylic block and applying the ink to the cs  for a background.  I opted to use a light touch with the ink for a shadowy effect.  (Hint - for a digi image, I first printed one on scratch paper to determine where the image would print on the cs.  I measured in from the edge of the cs, and then stamped from the acrylic block.  Let it dry, then ran it through the printer.  Voila!  The image printed on top of the bg.  But I am sure you can figure this out  LOL!!)

Imagine That GD card - 9/14/17

This is my inspiration card for this week's Imaginethatdigistamp post.  I used the outline image, sentiment, and pink butterfly paper from this set called Frieda's Flower Basket, which you can see here.  The set includes a pre-colored image, which I used to inspire, though I changed the color.  I fussy cut the butterfly but adhered it to the original spot.  I also cut the sentiment to use in separate locations. The die is Spellbinders Labels 5.   In addition to the included DP, I used a piece from a recent prize -  pad of papers from Zeeman, a Dutch company.  - sponsored by Cuttlebug Mania (Jannie).
