QKR Stampede DT Card ~ Anything Goes; Option - By the Seaside

This is my Design Team card for challenge #252 at QKR Stampede - anything goes, with the option by the seaside.  I think I stretched that a bit, as this is more "on the sea". Both the image "ship" and the sentiment are available from the QKR Stampede store.  This challenge is open through Thursday, July 20 at 6 p.m. EDT.  Two winners will receive QKR images.  See details here.
For the background I did what for me is unthinkable - I cut into the middle of a sheet of cs!  You probably cannot even see it here, but there is a subtle map - the US, Mexico and Central America are just to the left of the image.  I wanted some of the ocean visible - but it is not clear at all.  Oh, well.  I used ribbon at the top and washi tape along the bottom.  The sentiment is raised with pop dots.

DT card for QKR Stampede Challenge #237: Anything Goes/ Up, Up and Away

I thought this QKR Stampede image would work for the optional twist of Up, up and away.  He looks like he is ready to launch himself to new heights!  The sentiment is also from QKR Stampede.  We hope you will join us for this fun challenge.  Remember, the theme is optional.  You may submit up to 3 entries before 3 p.m. EDT Thursday, April 6.  The winner rceives QKR Stampede digis - more if you are a winner using QKR Stampede images.  Go here for complete details.  I highlighted the "bee" - pun intended!  The papers are all from my stash.  The longer strip comprises 3 strips of narrow Washi tape, mounted on white cs.  A bit of yellow ribbon and acrylic dots complete the card.

WOW!  This year is already about 1/6 over!  Where does the time go...
First of all, my apologies for an Oops... will have to fix this one!  The embossing folder has images going in different directions, but not upside down!  I grabbed the layer and started adding tape - not paying attention to the direction.  No time to work on it any more now as we have to leave early for church....

Lots of Washi

A current challenge at Stamplorations is to CASE one of the examples - I chose one by Vicki Dutcher (Hi, Vicki) - the design appealed to me, and I was also intrigued by the opportunity to use up some of  those many rolls of Washi tape I own!  I like having choices, but at the rate of 3-4 inches per card, it will last forever!  I changed Vicki's colors, sentiment, and embellishments, but kept the overall design - and the Washi tape idea!
