Sympathy cards

Sympathy cards are never easy to make but I needed two for tomorrow so here's what I came up with.  A white base, a grey layer and some charcoal chalk ink with my new In Bloom stamp set.
To add some interest, I used Liquid Pearls in white opal and Stickles in Blue to colour in the centre of the flowers.

On the inside, I stamped a leaf image from the same set and then used a steel blue sentiment from Asian Fusion.
For some reason, I can't change the orientation of this image; my apologies!

Supplies:
Paper: Staples white, grey
Stamps: PTI In Bloom, Asian Fusion

PTI blog hop

This is my first blog hop entry so bear with me ...
I am using some Papertrey Ink sets I haven't had a chance to use too often even though they are gorgeous designs.  Whenever I want to make a card, I have so many choices and am so torn as to what to use!  So here are a few sets that haven't gotten much love lately.

The Outline Alphabet and Out on a Limb are very versatile sets and I used them with some delicious Distress Ink.  The background is a simple Text Style II.  Some irridescent embossing powder, White Opal Liquid Pearls and there you go!
And a full view of the card with some bad lighting (never home to take pictures of my cards in daylight ... alas!
Stamps: PTI Outline Alphabet, Out on a Limb revised, Text Style II
Paper: Hero Arts layering paper
Inks: Distress Ink,
Versamark
Misc: Liquid Pearls white opal , foam dots,
irridescent glittery embossing powder

Thinking inking inspiration

I am constantly inspired by Jennifer McGuire and her great design sense and ideas.  I made this card based on one of her thinking inking videos.  I embossed the flower image with white embossing powder and then sponged different distress inks over top.  After that, I stamped a letter script stamp for a subtle layer.  The green mat is done with Papertrey Ink's Sunshine impression plate.  I am loving these plates for some texture.

Supplies:
Paper - Staples cream,  Gina K Pure luxury fresh asparagus, chocolate brown
Stamp: M's flower blooms, French script
Misc: Tombo glue runner, Distress Inks, white embossing powder

A few cards for all occasions

Drywall tape, vellum quotes and stamped white flowers on silver cardstock with ribbon detail.

An acetate window, some anaglypta paper, a punched window and dragonflies. Would be nice to add a message on the front, if needed.

A punched out window, a bit of funky ribbon and a cute embossed stamp is perfect for an anniversary.

The special dimensional effect here is from the Spanish moss I bought from a craft store.

Some recent creations ...

Cherry Blossoms

A few stickles in the flowers keeps it sparkly.

Lucky Bamboo

This is one of my favourite background stamps ... adds such a chic style to the card.
