Teachers Cards

Hello there,
What a lovely day I have had, a bit of shopping this morning and then a relaxing afternoon too :-))))
Today I want to share with you the cards I made for the children's teachers I used the retired Tart and Tangy stamp set (again) but as they all had different teachers this year it really didn't matter, phew!
Sentiments are from Thank-you kindly (page 86) a very handy set to have ;-)
This one has a Curly Cute sentiment
and a fourth style to finish today
Right, that's me for now, I'm off to work tonight.
Back soon with more cards to share,
Quick reminder that you still have time to book onto my Stamp-a-Stack on this Monday (23rd) or Wednesday (25th) message me to join us!

Christmas Gifts

So today, I have some gift packaging to share with you, I made a lot of my Christmas gifts this year, keeping old jars and filling them with homemade Lemon Salt Hand Scrub and I purchased some gorgeous glass bottles and made alcoholic gifts too! No fancy equipment needed, just a bit of planning ahead as the drinks take time to mature.
So, to start with here is the hand scrub jars, I printed the directions on the computer after wrapping the jar in So Saffron DSP from the stacks,
Scallop spotty ribbon around the lid with the (retired) tart and tangy lemon on the top
I also found some lovely wooden spoons on Amazon, which I stamped for that finishing touch, using Staz on,
So, onto the alcohol, I made Limoncello and decorated the bottles using Pool Party and Calypso Coral with the Four Frames and the matching punch,
and a gem brad with a small punched circle to decorate the top
the same stamp set was used to decorate the Sloe Gin bottles, I just distressed these with the crumb cake ink pad and a sponge dauber
and a circle of glittery Berry Bouquet DSP to top it off
and here are all the goodies together, they recipients were all happy with their gifts (I think) so a good job, well done.
Well, I hope you like the packaging today and if you want any of the recipes they are all easily searchable on the tinterweb or Pintrest.
Thanks as ever for stopping by today,

Handmade Teachers Gifts

Hello there,
I thought I would share with you the bits I made for the little ones teachers, now I know that teachers get lots at this time of year but I tried to give them things that might be useful in a classroom if nothing else ;-)
Just a little warning though, lots of pictures for this post, you might wanna grab a cuppa!
O.K. do you remember when we did the Colour Coach Blog Hop? I made a bus card? Well, these littleies are to match that for the teachers assistants from Zoe,
and from Zack I made more Owl cards, slightly different from last weeks,

all together,
For the teachers I made...
some pretty covered pegs, (I use mine all the time)
 a Post it note holder,
covered tissue packs, everyone needs a tissue, right?
and a book mark, I gave the teachers assistants the tissues and bookmark too,
Well, the kids said their teachers liked their gifts so all's well and I hope you have enjoyed today's post too!
Thanks for stopping by today,
Back tomorrow with more craftyness,

Teachers Cards!

Hello!
I have finally remembered to post the teachers cards I mentioned a few days ago, he he! We get there in the end eh?
But before I share the cards with you a quick reminder that I have still got a special offer or two running along side Stampin' Up's promotion, go HERE to read all about them but hurry, they finish in a little over a week :-)
Right, time for some teachers cards with Mr Owl. These cards were a request from a friend so I still have to make mine, eek! Better get cracking I think..
I used the old faithful Tart and Tangy, just perfect for teachers ;-) and as I didn't know of these were for men or women I had to keep them neutral so used linen thread instead of ribbon,
Teacher Owl with a free font I downloaded, can't remember the name, sorry!
and all 5 together
Well that's today's cards for you, I will be back tomorrow with this weeks Simply Stampin' Challenge card but don't forget you still have today to enter this weeks sketch challenge, we would love for you to join in :-)
And don't forget to come and say 'Hi' if you are at Netley Marsh Steam and Craft Fair this weekend!

Simply Stampin' Sketch

Hello and happy Saturday to you!
And Saturday means it's time for another Simply Stampin' Challenge. This week we have a fabby sketch for you to try out :-) Hop over for lots more inspiration from the very talented DT ladies,

and this is what I came up with, it's a bright one this week, in the vain hope of some summer eventually arriving!!
I used the lovely Cheers to You for the summer cocktails and Tart and Tangy for the background and cherries on the front panel,
After stamping and colouring a row of glasses I cut them out with the SU! exclusive Top Note Die and covered the "glass" part in crystal effects,
Summer bunting was stamped with Dot, Dot, Dot and punched out using the star punch, the string is crotchet thread and attached with brads,
and I used some of the scraps inside,
So, what do you think of this weeks sketch? Great huh?
I really hope you will be able to join in with us this week and I look forward to seeing your creations,
Thanks for dropping by today,

Good Morning to you all,
Welcome to the first lay in of the holidays... well the first one without the school run anyway!
I have scheduled this post so I will probably be still in my jarmies when this publishes ;-) well, here's hoping anyway!
So onto the crafty stuff!
I have a picture today of the bath bombs I made for the teachers as part of their gifts, I gave one to each of the teachers and also the assistants, they might need a nice relaxing bath after all the stress of working with kids all year ;-)

I put four of the bombs in SU! large cello bags then simply a
made a matching tag tying them on with ribbon, unfortunately ran out after four so had to use cello for the last two, a bit more fiddly but I used this to my advantage and tied with different colour ribbon and made those two the ones for the actual teachers, good plan eh?!

And here they are all together, In the end I put each set in a paper bag and added a matching tag, it was late when I made these so didn't get a piccie unfortunately. Apple is fromTart and Tangy stamped in versamark and For You is from One of a Kind
So that's all for today, thanks for stopping by and have a great day

Teacher Tastic!

Good Morning,
I have a class starting at 12 today, it will be my third one for this month! I have just finished tidying and mopping, just got to lay the table now for the ladies, if you would like to join us next month for some paper, fun and friendship then please email me for more info.
So onto today's projects, and I have to warn you this is a picture heavy post! so I would grab a cuppa now ;-)
I made 2 different designs using the same sets and colourways, the wine is for the teacher and the paperclip bookmark is for the teachers assistants (2 of them in each class) I have also decorated another gift but I think I will save that for tomorrow!
For this one I stamped the apple from Tart and Tangy using versamark and then inked the special apple using my markers, sentiment is Tiny Tags, For You is from Basic Phrases,
This set uses Basic Grey instead of Versa and more of the lovely gingham ribbon with Linen Thread, Sincere Salutations makes another welcome appearance too,
I have added a close up of this apple just to show the background. I inked and stamped all my Thank-You stamps from lots of different sets in co-ordinating colours to make a block before punching out with the scallop circle punch,

and a quick close up of the bookmarks, they have Real Red layer one side and Always Artichoke the other,

and the all together shot to finish, phew!!!
I hope you are still with me! Thanks for stopping by today,
Quick update on the building- Velux are going in today and windows in at the weekend! yay! then next week they are starting on the inside, so it looks like I will be going out quite a lot next week!! I will try really hard to keep posting here but the next couple of weeks are probably going to be hit and miss even as to whether I can get to my crafty stuff (I had better be able to do something or I will go a bit crazy(er) I think!)
Don't forget my special offer for this month only, see top of blog for more details
Have a great day,

SU Summer Design Challenge

Hello folks,
Thought I would share with you today my entry into the SU! summer design challenge.
I took my inspiration from summers, as a kid, going and picking fresh strawberries, still warm from the sun, mmmmmm,
So here is my strawberry basket! All supplies are SU! (and available through me) Tart and Tangy stamp set inked with SU! markers and Short Order Alphabet (On Last chance list with 25%off at mo) for the P.Y.O. lettering. I cut 2cm strips of Kraft card and just made a basic basket shape, then weaved more Kraft card through to finish.

Punches used were Scallop circle, 1+3/8" circle, 1+1/4" circle , Large and small Tag
Well, I didn't want to use mints for the little Strawberries so I used strawberry flavoured chewits instead :0) . Linen thread to attach label.
I shredded paper from the packing SU! use in their parcels as the "Straw" in the basket and a couple of lovely brads to attach the handle from the Hodge podge Hardware set (available in THIS share)
Well that's it, let me know what you think and I would love to see what you made if you entered.
Thanks for looking and have a great day,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx
