Seeing Double with Mr and Mrs stamp and the Expressions Thinlits teamed with Hearts a Flutter from Stampin' Up!

Hello there,
As I have been enjoying the weather and completing a few magazine projects this week I have been a touch absent from my blog :-s I have been popping up on Facebook as I often do when I don't get on here so if you are a Facebooker then please feel free to follow my page and keep up to date with the goings on at chez Rae ;-)
So, this evening I am going to share two cards with you to double up in apologies for my absence here.
The first card uses the stamp set 'Mr and Mrs' which unfortunately seems to be sold out. I teamed it with the also retiring with Raspberry Ripple cardstock and ink, I am really going to miss this colour :-( The white card layer was embossed using the Lacy Brocade folder which is a bargain at just £4.49 at the moment,
Ribbon flowers are also retired but I have a couple of free tutorials on how to make ribbon flowers HERE and HERE, the leaves are punched using the Bird Punch
the Mr&Mrs stamped panel was die cut using the Apothecary Accents die
 Now, second card for tonight...
I love the Expressions thinlits dies that contain this Love word as well as Merry and Thankful. I teamed it with another set I love which is Hearts a Flutter, (click on the Label at the end of this post marked Hearts a Flutter to see more cards using this fab set!)
This card uses a colour combo of Strawberry Slush (ink: staying, ruffled ribbon: going), Midnight Muse (going) and Sahara Sand (also staying)
we die cut the love word from Midnight Muse card and also Silver Glimmer Paper (Gold Glimmer is on offer this week FYI ;-)) layered over but slightly off set so it 'popped' off the card
and the ruffled ribbon in Strawberry Slush
OK, that's all for tonight, I'll be back soon with more cards to share with you and please remember that BOTH the current catalogues finish at the end of JUNE! That's just 4 days!! So if there is anything you want/need please order asap to be sure you get what you want before it goes for good.
Thanks for visiting today and for your patience with me ;-)

Pink Hearts a Flutter Wedding Card and Box

Hello there,
One of my lovely ladies daughters was getting married recently and so I made this card for her to give to the happy couple :-)
Their colours are Pretty in Pink with White and as Shirley loved the Wedding Card I made a few weeks ago I went with a very similar design, just adding the Mr and Mrs stamp to the lower right hand corner...
Decorated with flower trim roses, silver glimmer paper and mini heart hearts which were die cut and added with dimensionals
inside I printed the insert with matching pink border and the Bride and Grooms initials
the front of the box was decorated to match the card
and finally both the card and box together, I loved making this and we were both pleased with the end result, let's just hope the Happy Couple like it as much!
Well, thanks as ever for stopping by today, I hope you have enjoyed today's project?
Stampin' hugs,

Anniversary Card

Hello there,
So today I have a little break form the Hearts a Flutter bundle for you!! Lol!
And as it was our 17th wedding anniversary last week I (obviously) needed to make my DH a card :-) and as I had the Mr & Mrs stamp out I thought it would be perfect teamed with the Scallop Heart of Hearts die and a couple of letters from the (retired) Timeless Type Alphabet.
I went with a favourite colour combo of Sahara Sand, Basic Black and Summer Starfruit.
I stamped a few stars using the Itty Bitty stamps from the Spring/Summer catty using Versamark {as I had the Mr & Mrs image}, and punched them out with the star punch before adding them to the corners,
I added the heart with dimensionals
3mm taffeta ribbon with a couple of staple accents and the "pinking edge" was created using the Finishing Touches Edgelits
and some decoration inside to finish the card...
Now, I found some East of India ceramic letters when I was out shopping the other day, which I loved, so I decided to add them to a keyring with some ribbon and so I needed a way to present this small gift to my hubs...
Same colours, same stamps and dies, just add the Two Tags die and voilà!
the little tiles and ribbon close up ;-)
Well, thanks for visiting today. I hope you have enjoyed my card and packaging idea for today and I will be back soon with  more crafty goodness :-))))

More hearts a Flutter!

Hello there,
I hope you are all enjoying the lovely bank holiday weekend, I have had a very enjoyable day crafting and relaxing a little, it's been lovely and I have felt very inspired!
So, I have a couple more card to share with you today using the Hearts a Flutter bundle again. Please excuse the dark spot on the pics, hubs has now cleaned the lens on my camera so it should be OK in the future ;-)
Anyway, these were more I made for my team newsletter, the same as the last post. I really wanted to just do lots of different things with just one set. For this first card I used the Easter(ish) themed papers Birds of a Feather, to make a very Non-Easter style card!
I added a Silver button, an In Colour Dahlia in Primrose Petals, and a little bit of Victoria Crochet Trim  between these pennants,
moving along you'll see some white stitched grosgrain, some (more) Vintage Faceted Buttons and some Primrose Petals ribbon...
and a close up of the smallest sized Soda Pop Top which I added a punched circle of the paper in the centre of adding a rhinestone, filled it with Crystal Effects and sprinkled it with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Leave flat to dry before adding to the pennant with glue dots.
I like that this card has has plenty going on and lots of depth already so I glued the pennants straight down along the bakers twine and onto the card panel at the front of the card.
Next up I have a card which could be used for a Wedding, Anniversary or simply a card to send someone you love!
It was a really quick card to make even allowing time to stamp and die cut the extra hearts, you simply stamp the heart outlines along the centre first and go back and fill in each with a different element :-)
I added the patterned hearts with dimensionals and the silver punched hearts were glued using Tombow. Finishing with more of  the fantastic Flower Trim ribbon which was added using glue dots.
I loved this second card so much I made a similar version for class this week, with a choice of sentiments too, the first is the single stamp Mr and Mrs and the second is from the set called From My Heart, I love the vintage look of this sentiment :-)
and here are all the Hearts a Flutter bundle cards again to finish for today.
I hope that I have inspired you and shared a few new ways to get the most from this really lovely bundle.
If you would like to order this or any other goodies from the current catalogues then please feel free to email me with your order or any questions or queries you may have too :-)
Thanks as ever for looking today and enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend!
