Card Candy

Hello,
Boo, it's Monday again!
Anyway, as I was unable to attend Julie's craft day this weekend I really wanted to join the Card Candy Swap after seeing the lovely makes at Convention this year. I also wanted to have a play with the treat cups as I haven't had a go with them for ages, and as the swap is called Card Candy I went with it literally! So I came up with this...

I went with the Love You Much stamp set, which probably explains why I have used it a few times this week again as I was reminded of how much I love it,
Here is the candy part and yes, I did colour co-ordinate the mini smarties! lol! me? OCD? I couldn't possibly comment!
Close ups of the individual toppers, I coloured this one with the marker pens then hand cut the pieces,
Colour combo is Pear Pizzazz, Pretty in Pink, Marina Mist, Pretty in Pink and Early Espresso,
Boho Blossoms, Modern Label and Word Window punches were just some of the punches I used,
3mm taffeta ribbon and wide striped grosgrain ribbons used with Basic Pearls,

Not the best picture here but I added lots of dimension to the toppers too ;-)

and finally here they are together, phew!
Julie said they went down well with just a small smartie spillage! I am now looking forward to receiving the 5 swaps in return, of course I will show you as soon as I get them.
Thanks for stopping by today, I have a couple of friends coming over for a crafting day today looking forward to that,
Have a great day whatever you are up to, Stampin' Hugs,

Another Rbbon Rose

Happy Sunday to you!
Just a little card for you today, I made this one for my friend Evelyn when she purchased an In Colour ribbon share from me last week, she mentioned she like the ribbon roses I made on this card so I made one for her to go with her ribbon :-)
Birds again are from Love You Much, paper pieced with Blush Blossom In Colour DSP with a Rose Red background,
rose is made from 1/2" stitched Poly ribbon in the beautiful Peach Parfait and finished with a Basic Rhinestone.
I hope you have a lovely rest of your Sunday, it is lovely and sunny here so we are going to tidy the front garden so we can get both the cars back on the drive, I'll be back tomorrow with some card candy to share with you,
Happy Stampin'

Happy Anniversary

Hello there,
So did you get snow this morning?? We had a little flurry which bought a smile to our faces but that was all thank goodness ;-)
O.K. onto today's card. I have an Anniversary card today, made it using Love You Much in Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake.
Lovely In Colour DSP flower made with the Boho Blossoms Punch and a gem brad through the centre,
I paper pieced the birds which you may have noticed is my favourite thing to do with these little ones? sentiment is from Cheer and Wishes and punched with the Modern Label Punch,

I stamped the background of the front and once inside with the large heart using Versamark and another little flower inside to finish it off,
and a little arty angle to finish,

So that's todays card, I have a long list of jobs to be getting on with today so I am going to have to dash off, back tomorrow :-D

A different take on Love you Much

Hello,
I have scheduled today's post as hopefully they will be here today to start the roof tiles, goody goody!
I have made this card using the set love you Much which is a valentines/lovey sort of a set but I am hopeful it works as a birthday card too??
I used the lovely Melon Mambo with Basic Black for this one,
Happy Birthday is from a retired sab set teamed with a filigree brad and punched out with the word window, DSP is the limited Night and Day, only available 'till end of Sept,
I paper pieced the two birds after inking them up (avoiding the heart which is normally between them), as you can see I paper pieced them but you may be wondering which Designer Paper I used?? None! I used the Dot Dot Dot stamp with Melon Ink and paper pieced using this, I love the effect,

Gorgeous Melon Mambo spotty ribbon finishes it off nicely I think,
inside piccie ;-) sentiment from A Bit of Birthday Cheer,

Well, that's all for today, I hope you have a fab day whatever you are up to.
If you want to order any Stampin' Up! products please do email me for more info, I also have a fab offer on 'till the end of July, please see top post for more info. This is an offer just from me, not SU!
Thanks for stopping by,

Lucy Birthday, part 2 and a special offer 'till Wed only

Good morning,
Yay, it's the weekend!! whoop whoop!
Yesterday I showed you the card I made for Lucy, now that was great fun to make but about a week ago her lovely hubby got in touch and asked me to make her a birthday card... but not just from him, but 1 each from their 2 kids too! Well, obviously I was very touched to be asked, but way! 4 cards for 1 lady... not easy! So, this is the one I made for Pete to give to her :-)
I went with a vintagey feel to this one using the Love You Much stamp set (p 26),
I masked the bids and stamped the heart in the background, then water coloured in some details with a blender pen in Sage Shadow to match the card,
These little hearts were stamped from Love You Much and punched with the Heart to Heart punch then joined with linen thread, sentiment is from Cheer and Wishes (p 62)
This little detail is on the inside and comes from Sealed with a Kiss (p 26) a cute little set which I use quite a bit for anniversary cards,
and finally the arty angle,
I will be back Monday with another card for Lucy ;-)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Finally for today my special offer for you but only 'till Wednesday, I am offering you post and packing for just £2, no matter how much you order (usually 5% or £3.95, whichever is greater) direct to your door, that is in conjunction with the SU! special offer for this month which is 20% off punches when purchased with selected stamp sets plus my prize draw to win a level 1 stamp set (see top post)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All that's left to say is wishing you all a fab weekend and
thanks for stopping by,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xx

A little set of 4

Well, I have been creating even if I haven't blogged for a couple of days :0)
I have got so much to do this week as on Friday I am going to visit my lovely friend (and upline) Julie, I am so excited, she has got a full day class on Saturday so crafting and fun all weekend I'm sure!
So here is today's project, made using the FREE set Whimsical Words. {yours too if you spend £45 ;0)}
I have had my eye on this set of DSP for a while now but since I got them a couple of weeks ago I have just not had a chance to get into them until today, so I was very happy to be able to have a play. I have spent most of today getting inky, what a way to spend a day!

Heart to Heart punch on the left and Boho Blossoms (which matches the One of a Kind stamp set here on the middle flower) used on the right to punch co-ordinating card stock,

For the one on the left I punched the paper and turned the flowers round and stuck them back in, love double sided paper! Love you much set used to make the patterned hearts on the right,

Here is the set together, all the sentiments are from Whimsical Words. I even stamped the envies to finish,
Well I hope you like and I will be back tomorrow with some more creations, I will be a much better blogger this week, I promise !
Take care and have a great day,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx

Valentines Milk Carton

Good Afternoon,
I hope you are all warm and safe today as there seems to be yet more snow across the country, we have just had a dusting overnight but not much at all today.
Well, onto the carton, this is made using the Love You Much set to match the cards from earlier this week,
I have made it out of Kraft (my fave!) card with a scalloped strip of Real Red card around the bottom edge and a strip of Choc chip around that to break it up a bit, the set of 3 hearts is stamped randomly all over the carton in both Real Red and Choc Chip inks,
The tag was stamped, punched and layered using Choc Chip ink with a Real Red 1+3/4" circle to back it, tied on with 1/4" grosgrain and linen thread,
And finally for this week here is the whole set together, all made using SU! goods and available to buy through me.
I hope I have inspired you a little with this stamp set, please let me know and if there is a current SU! set you would like me to showcase then drop me a line and I will do my best (if I have it!!) to help.
Have a good rest of the day and thanks for stopping by, I love to read your comments ;0)
Hugs, Sarah-Jane xxx

3 Hearts

Hello,
How's the snow with you then?? ours is almost gone, still icy on the back roads though as I found out when I went round the corner of our road on the way to work last night! just a wobble but it certainly made me jump...
Anyways, these are the last 2 cards I made the other day as the set of 4 with a matching milk carton too, I will show you that tomorrow ;0)
They both use the Love You Much stamp set with matching Heart to Heart punch used for the hearts on this first one, layered up with 1+1/4" and 1+3/8" circle punches, I also added some Twill Tape to the background, Sentiment at the bottom is from the Sealed with a Kiss set,
This second card for today uses last weeks CPS sketch :0) I am too late now to enter it though, doh!
The little love birds are paper pieced using Merry Moments Christmas paper, I think it looks O.K. though and not Christmassey, what do you think? Real Red base, Choc Chip and Kraft layers with some yummy stitched Grosgrain chocolate ribbon, punches used were 1+3/4 circle and scalloped circle, Mat Pack makes a welcome return ;0)

Arty angle for this one,
Well better get cracking, I am so hoping my delivery of SU! yumminess comes today, it has been held up for nearly a week now! and I am just desperate to get my hands on it! I know you understand....
Have a good one and keep warm,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx

I still love you much!

Hello,
How was your day in the snow? It didn't snow at all today here but boy was it cold! it has frozen all the snow and the compacted stuff is like an ice rink on the roads and I have to go to work tonight! eek, not looking forward to that let me tell you!!
BTW has anyone else had any trouble with blogger?? it won't let me move piccies down the page unless it is showing (won't scroll down) if that makes sense?!
Anyways, here is today's card, this time using the fab hearts stamp from Love You Much, I can see I am going to love this for weddings this summer :0)
I stamped the heart in Real Red straight onto the white card and then in Choc Chip onto scrap card and then layered it using dimensionals, the brown strip was left over from doing the border at the bottom of the panel,
Window was made using the word window punch which was a little too short for the (retired) sentiment, I just punched the original window, measured it up against the stamp and then moved the punch across to make it long enough, I added the sentiment with the cards closed using the trusty stamp-a-ma-jig, sorted ;0)
Right better go and get ready for work, wish me luck, I may even be home very soon!
Take Care in the snow,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xx
