Thank you cards with the Lots of Happy Card Kit for ICC

Hello and welcome to a new challenge with Inspire. Create Challenges!
Can you believe it's challenge #30 already?? So, this weeks challenge is to use the theme "Thankful"
Unfortunately, for some inexplicable reason blogger won't let me add the image for this challenge :-(
But, I do have the cards I made :-) So I wanted to use the very lovely "Lots of Happy" card kit for this challenge and I just loved the ease of a kit and it's perfect for this challenge. I had coloured some of the flowers while I was away this summer, using the watercolour pencils in the kit but I also had a go with my blends for some too, lets have a look at the finished cards together first shall we...
For this card I used the pencils...
Love the die cut vellum leaves which are included in the kit. The only thing I added was a few clear sequins from my stash.
This image was from this past years Sale-a-Bration (now retired) so it's good to still be able to get it in this kit!
This was also coloured with watercolour pencils, but from the watercolour pencil set available separately.
And finally for today this adorable, teeny-tiny card!
Now this image was coloured with my blends and you can see it gives a totally different vibrancy to the flowers!
So, which style of colouring are you loving right now? I think it depends on the overall effect you are trying to achieve, soft and whimsical or bold and vibrant? Or both, of course. Which is what I  choose ;-)
To see the rest of the DT's fabulous "Thankful" themed creations head over to the challenge blog HERE, I promise you'll be glad you did!
And don't forget to share your amazingly thankful creations with us too :-)
'Till next time...

Fabulous Flamingo CAS Card

Hello there,
I have a super fun, single layer card and going back to the basics of simply card and ink!
This is a triple layer stamp set so I stamped the flamingo in Powder Pink then Flirty Flamingo and finally the outline using Memento black ink.
I stamped the sentiment in both Flamingo and then Memento for a shadow effect.
The leaves, water and reeds are all included in the set too :-)

NEW Flying Home Birthday Card using Stampin' Blends

Hello again, this is my second post today and for this post I have a card to share with you! (to see the first post with all the new Spring/Summer catalogue and sale-a-bration details, click HERE
I made this card for my step-daughters birthday using the new stamp set (now available!!) Flying Home and coloured it using the Stampin' Blends :-) It was quite easy to colour with these pens, even for an alcohol marker novice like me. I totally need to practice some more with the pens as I love the saturation you get and that's exactly what we'll be doing at my Three Month Blends Class, more info on that tomorrow, but for now, the card.
 I made a DL size card (21cm x 10.5) for a change today...
I stamped the image in memento ink and coloured it before die cutting with the stitched edge framelits...
I added a layer of pink glimmer paper which I had in my stash and didn't realise it had retired :-(  There is some fun new 6x6" glimmer paper in the Spring/Summer catalogue though, on Page 37 ;-)
The sentiment is from another new set, Bird Banter, stamped and white embossed on a Flirty Flamingo card strip.
Well, I love this set so you'll be seeing lots more over the coming months with it! Don't forget to check out this morning's post HERE but here's a fun little peek at what's in the Spring/Summer catalogue highlights from SU!
Thanks so much for looking again today :-)

Watercolour Words by Stampin' Up!

Hi there,
Today's card is a fun way of using DSP. If you have some sheets that you don't know what to do with or perhaps a lot of retired papers even then I love this way of using them for easy cards. I used Watercolour Words but any bold image stamp set would work for this, take a look....
Also they are great for posting as they are so flat ;-)
The flowers and the stars are in the set too so you can easily make cards for both men and women with a simple change of colours and image :-)
Super quick post today as I'm trying to get lots of posts ready for you for the next little while #gettingahead
Thanks for looking today!

Two More Cards With Make Amazing Cards Magazine!

Hello!
I recently received my copy of Make Amazing Cards, which is in the shops now :-) Inside, I did a "10 ideas" feature, using some of the ice-cream papers and toppers which are supplied in the magazine. This magazine also comes with lots of other products including embossing folders, lots of papers & toppers and a whole set of stamps!
Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to play with the stamps for my feature.... until now!
I had a few hours free and had a couple of cards in my mind when I saw the stamp set and this was the end result...
This cute pink card uses the heart hot air balloon stamp which I heat embossed in white onto watercolour paper before watercolouring with an aqua painter. I used the new Powder Pink ink for the balloon with Melon Mambo hearts and some new Soft Sky ribbon to finish it off.
All extra supplies used are linked at the end of the post :-)
This fun card uses the Sundae stamp from the magazine, again heat embossed onto watercolour paper. I made a fun emboss resist background with the (also new) Lemon Lime Twist for the wash. You may be able to see I also added clear wink of stella to each tiny ice cream on the background for a subtle sparkle.
And here they both are together again to finish!
I hope you liked my watercoloured makes?
This fun magazine is out now, packed with amazing papers and stamps as well as tons of ideas for using the included products :-) I'd love to see your makes with these products!
That's all from me for today, I'll be back soon with a new card! Thanks so much for looking!
