Happy Birthday Owl, Mahalo and Bubbly Inspiration

Lawnscaping is turning 4 and they are having a birthday party.  Happy Birthday Lawnscaping.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday:  Ice Inspiration, Simon Says Monday:  The Blues, and Addicted to CAS:  Die Cuts.

My next card is for Make it Monday #147:  Multi-Layer Images from a Single Stamp.  I pulled out an old favorite, Aloha and stamped the surfboard several times, once on white, then Simply Chartreuse, then Hibiscus Burst--cut them all out and put it back together on a Spiral Notebook die cut.  I used this weeks sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #118.

Have you heard that I am now on the DT at CASology?  You have probably heard, because I have been shouting it from the rooftops.  This is my first week on the DT, and I went a little overboard getting ready for my big debut.  I made a bunch of cards for 'BUBBLY' (yes, I really am that much of a dork) and then posted my favorite one.  Have you played yet?  Want some more inspiration?  Here are the cards that did not get picked for my DT post--perhaps one of them will inspire you.

First Runner Up

Inspired by Nicole Heady's Card

Inspired by Maile Belle's Card
It's not too late for you to play at CASology.  How are you inspired by BUBBLY?

That's it for me today.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

More Tags

After seeing all of Tracey's fantastic tag posts, and even contributing a tag myself, I find that I am a little obsessed with making tags.  Here are three tags I made for this week's Lawnscaping Challenge #71.

This set of tags is inspired by this week's Curtain Call Christmas Countdown challenge, and I will enter the tags with the Christmas tree into this week's CAS-ual Fridays CFC122.  These tags are so glittery and sparkly in real life.  I used Prisma Glitter on the starry background and Stickles and Wink of Stella on the ornaments and the snow globe bases.

They are packaged up to give as a gift set.

Lawnscaping # 65

I am playing along today with Lawnscaping Challenge #65, 'These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things..."  Well, I can't think of anything Lawn Fawn that I love more than Winter Owl, so I knew that he would be the star of the show.  But, I was able to slip in a few other favorite Lawn Fawn products--the log from Critters in the Forest, a speech bubble from A Little Birdie Told Me, and some papers from my newest favorite pattern paper pack--Into the Woods.  This card is going to the daughter of a bloggy friend of mine who had some serious knee surgery.  Mr. Owl thinks she is a star and so do I. I sure hope it cheers her up.

And, inside--a tiny little geography lesson...

Lawnscaping, Simon Says, and ColourQ

Hi there.  I learned today that Simon Says Stamps has two challenge blogs--both with fabulous prizes.  How could I not have known that?  Did you know that?

I have a card for this week's Lawnscaping Challenge No. 50:  Winter Wonderland,  Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog:  Let's Get Paper Piecing, and Simon Says Stamp and Show:  What Are You Known For?    My card uses several Lawnscaping Sets to create a wintry scene, is paper pieced with Handmade by Lily Bee papers, and features an Owl (of course, as that is what I think I am known for).  I just love that itty bitty snowflake, from Sweet Christmas.

My next card uses this weeks ColourQ challenge cQc #173, which I interpreted into PTI colors as Terracotta Tile, Summer Sunrise, Sweet Blush, Kraft and Vintage Cream.  I must be honest and say that I was not in love with these colors.  However, I did like the skirt, so thought perhaps I could make them work on a card.  I've had this Penny Black I chart stamp for quite a while, and wanted to pair it with Lawn Fawn's Clear to see, just like Kim did here.

I started by stamping a random pattern of eye glasses in Terracotta Tile, Summer Sunrise, and Kraft.

Here is the card.  I am also entering this card into the Moxie Fab Challenge #49:  Make Your Own Background Paper.

Supplies Used:
Hello
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn Winter Owl, Critters in the Forest, A Birdie Told Me, Sweet Christmas
Paper:  PTI White, Kraft, Lily Bee Handmade
Ink:  SU Real Red, Versafine Onyx Black, Aqua Mist
Other:  PTI In the Meadow Dies

Birthday
Stamps:  Penny Black I Chart, Lawn Fawn Clear to See
Paper:  PTI Kraft, Vintage Cream, Terracotta Tile, Sweet Blush
Ink:  PTI Terracotta Tile, Summer Sunrise, Kraft
Other:  Tag Sale Die, Saddle Stitch Ribbon

Two Cards for Five Challenges

This first card is for this week's RetroSketch #43, ColourQ #168, and Lawnscaping #48

Colors are Scarlet Jewel, SU Real Red, Spring Rain and Kraft.  The shine (which is a bit hard to see in this photo) is Glossy Accents on the owl eyes and the hearts, and Sakura glitter pen on the scarf.

My next card is for the combined challenge of CAS-ual Fridays #83 and 10 Minute Craft Dash #9.

I used my new Lil Inkers Snowflake Dies and some Dark Blue Shimmer paper, and completed this card in 8 minutes, 29 seconds.

Supplies Used:
Warm Winter Wishes
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn:  Winter Owl, Winter Fox, Belinda's Borders, Hero Arts Envelope
Paper:  PTI Kraft, White
Ink:  PTI Scarlet Jewel, Spring Rain, Kraft, SU Real Red
Other:  Spellbinders Label 8, Copic Markers, Glossy Accents, Sakura Pen, Twine

Tis the Season

Lawnscaping #45

I've been meaning to play in another Lawnscaping Challenge, and this week's challenge to 'use something you haven't used in a while' was just the nudge I needed.  I've been meaning to paper piece the tree in Critters in the Forest and create a cute little forest scene ever since I bought that set.

I stamped that tree three times, and then cut each section out.  I raised each tier one level with dimensionals. I used patterned papers from American Crafts  Merrimint, which I picked up at Target.  I am so excited that Target is now selling some really great crafting supplies. I did not put a sentiment on the card.  I'll put something on the inside when I actually use the card.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn Critters in the Forest, Winter Owl
Paper:  PTI White, Dark Chocolate, Kraft, American Crafts Merrimint
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Other:  PTI In the Meadow Dies
