Forgotten Stamp Friday-Week 15

Hey Everyone, and welcome to this week's Forgotten Stamp Friday challenge!!

If you aren't familiar with the Forgotten Stamp Friday challenge, it's a challenge I pose to myself, and all my friends and readers to make a card or project using a stamp that hasn't been used or has been owned and NOT used for at least six months. You don't have to post ON Friday to play along, so don't worry about that, just have fun, and be sure to leave a link so I can jump around and see what you have been up to!! Don't forget to use the keyword FSF15 when uploading to your online gallery!!

For today's card, I used the Whipper Snapper set, Bear Hugs. I made his hearts into balloons, and colored the whole image with my Copics. I then layered it with Ruby Red and Baja Breeze. The pp I used is Cosmo Cricket Togetherness. My ribbon was purchased through MFT some time ago, and my brads are from Michael's. I also used this weeks Sweet Stop sketch. My border was made using an MFT Lace Border Die-namic.
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Forgotten Stamp Friday-Week 12

Hey everyone, and welcome to this week's Forgotten Stamp Friday challenge! I am starting to REALLY look forward to this challenge every week...I'm having so fun rediscovering forgotten stamps!!
Don't forget to use the keyword FSF12 when uploading to your online gallery!!

This week's forgotten stamp is from the Whipper Snapper Designs set, Little Critters. It is a CRYING SHAME, but I have had this set since it's release...and never, ever, ever used it. I HAVE to stop doing that!!! I used the My Mind's Eye Fine and Dandy pack of paper, and paired it with Orange Fizz, Sno Cone, and Hot Fudge card stock. My ribbons are from SU, and my brads are from Michael's. I stamped my image on a X-Press It Blending Card, and then colored it with my Copics.
Well, that is it for me for now. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you decide to play along!!

Forgotten Stamp Friday-Week 6

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog!! It is time for my Forgotten Stamp Friday challenge!! As some of you might have seen, I started a little challenge called- Forgotten Stamp Friday!! Basically, I am challenging myself, and YOU, to use some of those poor, dusty, neglected, forgotten stamps from your collection!! I have created my own "keyword", this week's is FSF06. The only rule is that you can only use stamps that are 6months old or older, or haven't been used for at least 6 months. Basically, this is a use what you have challenge!! Thanks so much to all that have been participating...it means the world to me!!

For my card today, I pulled out my first ever cling mount stamp set from Whipper Snapper Designs, called Posies For You. It was designed my the MEGA talented Anna Wight, and as soon as I saw it, I was in love. I have QUITE the collection of her sets...and I NEVER get to them, so be prepared to get to see them a LOT on Fridays!! I stamped my flower, butterfly, and sentiment all on an MFT Perfect Panel. I then colored them with my Copics. The cardstock colors I used are Celery, Curry and Baja from SU. I then paired them with some Early Bird DP from Cosmo Cricket. My ribbons are from SU, and my brads are from Michael's. My sketch is this week's Mojo Monday sketch.
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!! Thanks so much to everyone that has been playing along, again. I am THRILLED to see you all getting into this challenge!!

Crazy 4 Challenges- Little Boy's Are Made Of...

Hey everyone, and welcome to this week's Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C36) challenge!! This week's challenge was issued by Frances!! In honor of her FIRST grandbaby, she has proposed a Little Boy's challenge. You know the poem? Here it is if you need a refresher!!

What Are Little Boys Made Of?

What are little boys made of?
What are little boys made of?
Frogs and snails and puppy-dogs' tails,
And that are little boys made of.

Her challenge was to do anything inspired by this poem, whether it be a card for a boy, or a word from the poem, the skies the limit!! I chose to use a little boy holding a frog...can't get more challenge appropriate than that!!

I have had this SUPER CUTE image, Eli and Frogger, from Whipper Snapper forever, and it has yet to see ink!! When I saw the challenge, I knew it would be the perfect time to use it....finally! I love it when I get to use new/old stamps...atleast I know they aren't just sitting around!! I stamped my image on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then colored it with my Copics. I then cut it, and it's Hot Fudge(MFT), Pacific Point, and Kiwi Kiss layers out using my Cuttlebug and Circle Nestabilities. My sketch is today's Taylored Expression's Sketch. I LOVE it. I got my sentiment from the MFT Pure Innocence Boy in Tree Swing stamp. I used Michael's brads, Creative Expressions spiral clips, SU modern label punch, and SU ribbons. My DP is from the SU, Good Morning Sunshine pack.
Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out what my other crazy friends have created for you to see!!

Crazy 4 Challenges- Week 4

Hey everyone and welcome back for week 4 of our Crazy 4 Challenge's challenge!! This week we have Cindy's final sketch before we turn the reigns over to Vicki for next month. Since you know how much I LOVE sketches, I have had a BLAST playing in her challenges for the last month. This week's sketch is fabulous, but before I get to that...I just wanted to personally thank each and everyone of you that have been playing along each week! We are THRILLED with the number of people who are participating and we adore each and every one of you for doing it!!
For this week's challenge(C4C4), I used my super cute Halloween Fun set from Whipper Snapper. I colored her with my Copics after stamping her on an MFT Perfect Panel. She was then layered with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Eggplant Envy. My ribbons are from SU, and the bling is from Mark Richards. I used SU punches for the sentiment, and my spiral clip is from Joanne's.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to see what you all come up with for this sketch!! Here is a list of the other ladies that are a part of this fabulous group so you can go look at their awesome samples!!

Oh Boy....

This card KICKED MY BUTT!! Seriously, I am still not happy with it, and I am posting it anyway because when you spend THREE HOURS working on a CASE, people need to see why!!LOL!!
This is my card for this week's Featured Stamper challenge. This week's Featured Stamper is Darlene(akronstamperdpk). She has a fun filled gallery, and I chose this card to CASE. For my card, I used the new My Favorite Things set, Plant a Seed of Love. I started by stamping my image on an MFT Perfect Panel, then I colored it in with my Copics.
The cardstock colors are Rich Razzleberry, Kiwi Kiss, and Creamy Carmel. I used some retired SU DSP, but the name escapes me...sorry. My ribbon is from SU, as well as the brads, but the spiral clips are not. I messed up my sentiment, so I punched one out with my scalloped oval and put it over it...yep, I hate it but it is what it is!!
So it isn't the worst thing I have ever made, but it CERTAINLY is not what I expected and DOES NOT do this gorgeous new image justice!!

Before I went into my migraine funk, I made a card for last week's Featured Stamper challenge. Last week's Featured Stamper was my fellow Trend Setter, Joanne(jojot).
I chose this card of hers. For my bee's, I used the Whipper Snapper set, Little Critters. The DP is from the Imaginisce Twitterpated line. I used my SU Oval punch for the main images which were colored with my Copics. The border punch is from SU, and I added some silver brads along the edge. The colors are So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Real Red. The ribbons are from SU, and the spiral clips are from Joanne's. I added some glitter with my Sakura Stardust glitter pen to their wings.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Another Cupcake Sketch

I don't have much time today to post, but I wanted to have SOMETHING to share with you all. I am having a Signature Homestyles party at my house tonight so I am busy cooking, cleaning, and all that ON TOP of taking care of Jared, so I am running behind!! So, I am showing some more of the cards I made for the Taylored Expressions Anniversary sketches, this sketch was Ana Wohlfahrt's. This card was made using the new Anna Wight(Whipper Snapper)set, Hello Neighbor. I stamped the tree twice, colored it in with my copics, and then cut one out and popped it up(just the top of the tree). I added the grass(as stamp from her Spring Has Sprung set) and the flowers. They were all colored with copics too. The colors on this card are Rose Red, Regal Rose, and Always Artichoke. The DP is retired SU Always Artichoke as well. I used all SU punches to make my sentiment panel, added some Mark Richards bling to the centers of the flowers and then some spiral clips with ribbon from My Little Ribbon Shop. Super cute little store run by my pal Brandy with some YUMMY ribbon!!
That is it for me now, thanks for looking!!

FS101 Jaydekay

Today's featured stamper is Judy(jaydekay). She has a fantastic gallery, full of yummy eye candy. Unfortunately, my card creeped away from me in the end...but the general idea is still there....I think, LOL!! I chose this card...one because I wanted to do a card for the Limited Supplies Challenge from Friday, and I thought instead of black and white, I could go red and white. I also added layers, eliminated the sentiment panel and added it to the bottom of the card, added a heart(or two), and used a small strip of DP instead of the whole base. Okay, it RAN away...I swear I will try again, LOL!! My DP is from the Patterns Pack that was a Level One Hostess set for SU. I added some red brads to the sides of it, cause I love brads, LOL!! My main image is from the Whipper Snapper set Bear Hugs. It was designed by Anna Wight and I LOVE her work(like you didn't already know that)!! I colored the image with my BRAND NEW COPICS....WAHOOO!! Yep, I finally took the plunge and I gotta tell you...should NEVER of waited this long. One good thing though, by getting good with the Su markers, it makes Copics EASY...seriously. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black, and the balloons were done twice. I cut one set out and popped them up. I stamped the sentiment directly on my Kraft layer and then punched a heart in it. I then added a piece of Real Red patterns paper BEHIND the layer(on the base) and then popped the top layer up so there is some depth to it. I added a second heart and then pierced around it, the main image, and the card base. My ribbon came from All That Scraps. So, what do you think??!! Thanks for stopping by, have a great night!!

Thanksgiving Blessings

Hello everyone...hope all of you that are celebrating Thanksgiving today, as well as everyone else, are having a happy and blessed day. I have come down with some sort of bug, but never fear, I still ate til I was so full I thought I might burst!! Of course afterwards, I spent the rest of the day laying on the couch whining about how bad I feel. My throat is so sore I could cry, don't you hate that?? I wasn't going to post today, but then I remembered this card I had made back when I was a featured designer for Whipper Snapper, and I decided to share it today. I made this card using the Give Thanks set from Whipper Snapper. I stamped the wheat bundles(I THINK that's what they are) with Creamy Carmel and So Saffron ink on Whisper White. I layered it with So Saffron and Bravo Burgundy CS which was cut out with my Rectangle Nestabilities. I used some retired Four Seasons DSP from SU and added silver brads, white taffeta, a spiral clip, and some cream and Burgundy grosgrain.

Well, that is it for me now...I can hear my couch calling me!!! Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed holiday!!

Just A Few Challenges...

all wrapped up in one!! My nephew is being SUPER good today, so I finally got a chance to participate in today's Ways To Use It challenge as well as the SCS sketch challenge. I promised myself yesterday that I would do no more stamping until I got all my Dirty Dozen projects done, and I am FINALLY finished...nothing like waiting until the last minute!! But seriously, WAIT until you see this gallery, it is AMAZING...I am such a tease!!
So, I am officially in love with this snowman from the Anna Wight set, Snowmen For Peace. I love that all the accessories are separate, so it is way easy to paper piece, along with the fact that it is just CUTE!! I stamped my snowman, sign, and sentiment with Black Stazon on watercolor paper. I then colored it in with my SU markers and added liquid applique to the snow. The hat and scarf were stamped separately on some De'ja Views Christmas paper(love this stuff), and glued on separately. I added a photo corner to the top and some coordinating ribbon from De'ja Views on spiral clips. The colors on this card are Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery. I ran the white layer through my Cuttlebug with the snowflakes folder and added a ton of silver brads. The squares of Dp and their layers were made with my SU square and scalloped square punches. Isn't it CUTE!! Well, that is it for me now...thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Punched Penguin

So, no one punched the penguin, and the penguin isn't made out of punches...but I did use the ticket corner punch on the corners, so it is a punched penguin( I know, my logic astounds even me, LOL)!! Why the fuss...well, today's Ways to Use it Challenge was to make a card using a corner punch, get it now? GOOD, I knew you would!! So, I have been DYING to get my Penguin Antics set from Whipper Snapper back out to play with, and I decided now that both the Paper Pretties and MFT releases are done, I would play today, no matter what!! I stamped the house image(wouldn't that make an awesome no layer card image), Penguin and swirl with my Black Stazon pad. The line separating the pond from the yard was hand drawn by me...which officially captures every bit of drawing ability I have in a nutshell, sad really. I colored the image with my SU markers, covered the pond with Crystal Effects, the roof and snow with glitter and the added snow to the trees with my White Inkessentials gel pen. I layered it with Rose Red and Bashful blue. The DP is from the retired Holiday Harmony DSP pack(that is the name right?). My PTI white layer was run through the Cuttlebug with my swirls folder. All my ribbon is from SU except the brown, which is from American Crafts. My nephew is here, and sorta cranky, so I am gonna go. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Free Snow

Tonight was my soon to be SIL's bachelorette party and I am pooped!! I have to take my MIL for some last minute shopping before the wedding, so I am gonna make this short and sweet!! This is my card for today's Featured Stamper challenge. The Featured Stamper is Kay(speedystamper). She has a FABULOUS gallery!! I chose this card to CASE. I changed everything but the layout!! My chocolate paper is from the Bella Rose DSP and the red paper is from the Ski Slope DSP. I layered them with Whisper White, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip and Riding Hood Red. My images(aren't they CUTE) are from the Whipper Snapper set, Snowman For Peace. I colored it in with my SU markers and outlined it with my Prismacolor Cool Grey 20% marker. After layering it and adding the piercings and cute snowflake brads(thanks Lee), I added some liquid applique to the snow and crystal effects to the snowballs. My ribbon is all from SU except the green gingham which is from JoAnns. Well, that is it for me now, thanks for looking and have a great day!!

Featured Stamper Sunday

I have been playing in my craft room today, but not in the good way...yep, I have been cleaning. I still for the life of me can't figure out why I don't clean as I go...it would be so much easier, but I digress. I finally found the bottom, and after making a diaper cake for my step mom, Paula, to take to a shower, I got to work on my card for today's Featured Stamper challenge. Today's FS is Emily(Ink-E). I don't know that I had ever been to her fabulous gallery, but I am so happy I have now...she is super talented! I chose this card and got to work!! I wanted to use my SUPER CUTE new Snowmen For Peace set from Whipper Snapper. It was one of the new cling sets by Anna Wight released this month. I love it because you can stamp all of the pieces separate(scarf, hat, bird), which makes it so much easier to paper piece, plus it gives you a bunch more options for this cute little guy! The DSP on this card is from the SU mini catalog and is called Ski Slope; the ribbon is also featured in the mini catalog and is called Alpine. I colored what little bit of my snowman that I had to with my SU markers and added some white liquid applique to the bottom to make my snow. The ribbon on my spiral clip is from the SU big catalog(red taffeta and chocolate chip taffeta). Don't you just LOVE that sentiment?? It is so CUTE!!
Well, that is it for me now, I will post a picture of the cake I made soon!! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!

Acordian/Stairstep Card

So, Jared is being VERY co-operative today, which means I got to participate in the technique lovers challenge...Yayyy ME!!! I normally don't like this challenge(are you all sick of hearing me say that), but when it is as COOL as this technique, I make exceptions!! For this card, I cut my Chocolate Chip piece of cardstock and scored it following the instructions in this post. I then layered each "step" with a piece of DP from the Autumn Vine pack, SERIOUSLY love this stuff!! The pumpkins are from the SU set, Autumn Harvest, and were stamped with Brown Stazon on Whisper White. Then I colored them in with my SU markers and added brads and spiral clips with ribbons to the corners. The leaves are also from that set. They were stamped the same way and colored with my Sage Shadow marker. Two of them I cut out and adhered directly to my pumpkin panels, the other two I used my SU circle punches to punch them out. The sentiment is from the Anna Wight set called Give Thanks from Whipper Snapper. I cut it and its layers out and then attached them to a tag I cut out(using my tag nesties)of Sage Shadow. I added a BUNCH of gold brads and it was done. I am still debating on whether or not I should go back and add the faces to these super cute pumpkins...what do you think??

Well, that is it for me now, thanks for looking and have a great day!!
stamps- Autumn Harvest(su) and Give Thanks(WS)
paper- Really Rust, More Mustard, Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Autumn Vine DSP

Whipper Snapper Release!!

So today is the day that Whipper Snapper Designs is releasing 4 new cling sets designed by the SUPAH talented and SUPAH sweet Anna Wight. I made two cards with this first set, and I gotta tell ya, I am IN LOVE with it!! The set is called Penguin Antics, and normally you wouldn't get both of them in one post, but I seriously couldn't decide which one I loved more, so I am showing them both!! The first one was made using Jen del Muro's sketch for you to try from this weekend. I stamped the penguin, chick, bird and snowflake with Black Stazon and colored them in with my SU markers. The snowflake wasn't colored, but I did go over it with my Sakura glitter pen. I used my Cuttlebug and Circle Nestabilities to cut out the penguin and its layers, and my SU circle punches for the smaller circles. On the penguins hat, I added some liquid applique to make it puffy. The DP is from the Four Seasons DSP from SU(retired). It was layered with some silver cardstock from DCVW and Night Of Navy. For my embellishments I used some silver satin edged ribbon from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts and some Navy grosgrain, silver brads and clips, and I did a lot of piercing.
This second card was stamped and colored with same way(SU markers, liquid applique). It was layered with Riding Hood Red, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. The DP is the Ski Slope DSP in the Holiday Mini Catalog from SU. My embellishments are all from SU, except the spiral clip. Don't you just love that penguin with his head stuck in the snow...cracks me up!!

That is it for me now..Jared will be here early, and I am already sleepy as it is. Be sure to check out what the other Featured Designers have in store for you!!

Harvest Blessings

So, this card was made for today's limited supplies challenge over on SCS. Of course, it has 13 layers, so I am PRETTY SURE that disqualifies it, but I seriously can't help myself!! I love this image from Anna Wights Harvest Blessing set she designed for Whipper Snapper. It has some of the cutest fall images in it, and I love this super cute GIRL scarecrow. That's right, she is wearing a dress people, she HAS to be a girl!!hehe!! Anyway, I colored her in with my SU markers after stamping her on Whisper White with Black Stazon. I stamped it again on white and some Autumn Vine DSP from SU. I cut out the shirt from the paper, and colored just the scarf on the white and paper pieced them on(shhhhh, I know that it makes it 14 layers, technically...SHHHHH). I added some piercing and antique brass brads to it, as well as some wide Chocolate Grosgrain, narrow Sage grosgrain, and chocolate gingham. I stamped the sentiment on some more of the Autumn Vine paper and glued it on....in reality, I wanted to layer it...but didn't want the Challenge Police to come get me...scary!! The colors on this card are Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow and Really Rust. The DP is from the Holiday Mini, and I LOVE it. I debated on whether or not to order it, and I am totally glad that I did. Well, that is it for me now..Jared has had all of his bouncy seat he cares to tolerate. Looks like it is time for a nap!! I will be back later, if he cooperates...LOL!!
BTW- Whipper Snapper is having a release on Monday for FOUR new cling sets..WAHOO!! Can't wait to show you what I have done for this(errr, once I get it done of course, but trust me, total CUTENESS). Anna has been giving super sneaky peeks on her blog, so be sure to check them out...they ROCK!!

Give Thanks...

So, I am IN LOVE with this new set from Whipper Snapper. It was designed by Anna Wight, and it is completely AWESOME!! I stamped my tree from her Give Thanks set with Chocolate Chip ink and then colored in the leaves with Old Olive ink. I stamped my apples separately and cut them out, then stamped them at the base of the tree and glued them on...that stem would be WAY to hard to cut out!! The DP on this card is from the new SU Washington Apple DP, isn't it YUMMO!! I layered it with Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, and Whisper White. The apples were colored with my Riding Hood Red reinker and a blender pen. I decided to leave the bottom panel white so that you could see my sentiment, then pierced a border around all the squares. I added some ribbon to each square after I got done with my piercings. So, this card qualifies for THREE World Card Making Day challenges over on SCS. The first challenge was the featured stamper challenge, to CASE Sherry(sherrylc05). She has a fabulous gallery, and this is the card I chose!! I changed the colors, image, paper and embellishments....in Jessie speak, that means I kept the layout, changed the rest..hehehehe. The second challenge this qualified for was the inspiration challenge, to use the cover of the current Coldwater Creek catalog. I was inspired by the leaves and the colors. The final challenge this qualified for was to make a card with a tree on it.
Back to the stampin table...WISH me LUCK!!!

Happy Fall

Isn't this birdhouse and little birdie so CUTE!! It is from the new Harvest Blessings Anna Wight set from Whipper Snapper. The sentiment is from her other new release Give Thanks. These sets were released on the 15th, so if you don't already have them, RUN don't walk, to the Whipper Snapper website and get them now!!!LOL!! They really are super cute, and the Give Thanks set has a ton of wonderful sentiments in it. I stamped the birdhouse on white card stock with Black Stazon and colored it in with my SU markers. The bird was stamped separately and cut out, only because I stamped it next the bird house as an afterthought, and it was crooked..DOH!! So I decided to pop him up after coloring and make some movement marks...so now he is shaking a tail feather.....hehehe!! Anyway, I STILL have no clue where this paper came from, but I do love the beautiful colors in it. I layered it with Old Olive, Bravo Burgundy and Pumpkin Pie. I used some wide Burgundy grosgrain with some pumpkin ribbon on top of it, and then added my sentiment with a silver brad. I decided to use several of the word window punched tags so that it would give it some color. A little paper piecing, some more silver brads and it was done!! That is it for me now, unless by some miracle my nephew actually allows me to do something besides hold and feed him today!! Wish me luck!!
stamps- Harvest Blessings and Give Thanks by Whipper Snapper
paper- Bravo Burgundy, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, White, and Unknown DP
ink- Black Stazon

You Go Girl!!

Today's Featured Stamper is Shannon(e3stamper), and what a stamper she is!! Not only is she a talented stamper, she is also a super sweetie who leaves the best comments. I chose this card of hers to CASE. I changed everything but the layout, but I didn't mean to this time. I forgot about the sentiment, so my paper was to dark and I had to add it as another panel. I tried my ribbon the way she had it, but it looked better like this, so I went with it. Plus, seriously, I HAD to add brads to it..SERIOUSLY(anyone else as EXCITED about the return of Greys Anatomy as I am??)!! This main image and sentiment are for my SUPAH CUTE new set, Harvest Blessings, from Whipper Snapper. They were just released a week ago and they are TO DIE FOR!! They were designed by the fabulous Anna Wight, who along with the owners of Whipper Snapper, asked me to be Featured Designer this month!! I can't tell you how excited I am to be working with them, and SweetMissDaisy herself, she is amazing!! I stamps Sally the Scarecrow(not officially her name, but I want to be sure that there is no confusion that she is a girl, see the dress) on white cardstock with Black Stazon ink. I then colored her in with my SU markers and layered her with some Really Rust, Bravo Burgandy, and Chocolate Chip paper. The paper is some from my ever growing stack of paper scraps that will soon take over my whole stamp area if I don't start to use them. With that said, I have no clue where it came from because it's a scrap, sorry!I added a bunch of piercing, copper brads, and some yummy wide stitched Chocolate Chip ribbon. The sentiment was stamped and then punched out with my SU oval punches.

Well, that is it for me now...I have about 70 baby announcements to make, and he isn't getting any younger!!LOL!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! Don't forget to check out my last post to see how you can be entered to win the biggest blog candy giveaway ever(next post)!!
