Christmas Bauble for Colour Me...!

This week at Colour Me...! we are going subtle and using Island Indigo, Soft Sky and Crisp Cantaloupe. I decided to use these colours for a non-traditional Christmas card.

I have to say, I really wish we had Blendabilities in every colour  ;)

Gift Box Punch Board for Colour Me...!

So, I've been completed addicted to the Gift Box Punch Board. I'll admit it, I was skeptical at first... But now that I've got my hands on it, I can't put it down!

This little box is ~ 1-3/4" x 3-1/4" and is just too cute for words! I created a little band to go around, that I stamped with the adorable Little Buddy Birthday set. 

The sweet dino was coloured with Blender Pens and punched out with the 2" circle punch. See those little yellow pearls? Those were coloured with Daffodil Delight Blendabilities! Yes, you can colour those pearls and make them shine in any colour :)

Match-y, Match-y!

This weekend we had fun celebrating my brother's birthday with him. I wanted to make him a really special cake, so I decided to go with this Petal cake design. Nice white cake and a delicious buttercream icing.

Once the cake was done, I just had to make a card to match (naturally!). I used the 1/2" Circle Punch to punch out Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Very Vanilla. I made a border for the Chalk Talk framelit with another of the same - a quick snip in the middle and extended it out the ends slightly.

I stamped the cake image from Sketched Birthday and coloured with Blender Pens. Afterwards, I cut out a scrap cake and masked the original so that I could sponge around it with Daffodil Delight. The Happy Birthday banner is from the same set. I finished it off with a few rhinestones to mimic the bigger and smaller circles from the Freshly Made Sketches sketch I used for this card.

All About Birthdays at The Friday Mashup!

This week at the Friday Mashup Holly has a great challenge for us. After the holidays, I'm always running short on 'everyday' cards - birthdays, thank yous, etc. This week, we're making a birthday card with some twine on it - yay!

I used some great new paper from the fabulous SAB catty (coming out really soon!) and the gorgeous giraffe from Zoo Review. I thought they went perfectly together! The giraffe is coloured with So Saffron and Sahara Sand using my 'go to' colouring tool, the fabulous Blender Pen. A small piece of Naturals ribbon and some white baker's twine to finish it off :)

Winter Memories

There are so many items in the Holiday Catalogue that I fell in love with immediately... Then there are those I didn't even realize were in the catalogue at all until my 4th of 5th time through it! I've used a little bit of everything on this card, and I love it!

I was using the superb sketch from Freshly Made Sketches... Yet another from FMS that I will be hiding up my sleeve ;)

I love the woodgrain embossing folder. I've been wanting SU to come out with one for so long, and I nearly fell off my seat when I saw it. And that Winter Memories set?! Don't get me started - such a wonderful collection of stamps that make me feel  nostalgic and cozy :)
