Watercolour Bloom for Colour Me...!

Hello and welcome to a new week at Colour Me...! This is a playful week and we are using Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana.

I loved the inspiration photo for this challenge and really thought I was going to do something 'water' themed. Alas... Floral happened ;)

Watercolouring is certainly not my forte, but I really wanted to give it a try for this challenge. There isn't too much a notable difference between the Cherry Cobbler (leaves) and the Real Red (flower), but I went with it regardless!

Watercolour Wash for The Friday Mashup!

This week at The Friday Mashup Heidi has a watercolour wash challenge for us, with the option to mash it up with a clean-and-simple design.

I went with the new Today & Everyday stamp set which is absolutely perfect for colouring. So far, I've coloured with Blender Pens, Blendabilities and Aqua Painters, and it's a joy every time!

Playing with Aqua Painters @ Dynamic Duos

Wow - I simply could not resist this colour combination at Dynamic Duos this week. So, I pulled out my Aqua Painters and got to work.

The card in person looks a lot more 'blended' in person than it does in the photo though. Not sure what happened there!

Bashful Blue is my favourite subtle colour. It's absolutely perfect for baby and sympathy cards. This is one of the colours being retired with the new catalogue this year. And although I'm sad to see it go, it gives me a chance to find another 'go to'! It's always good to step out of your comfort zone and change things up a bit. Can't wait to see the new catty :)
