Dandelions

My granddaughter says, look at all the flowers, Grandma!  However, those flowers are really dandelions that are in abundance right now, at least on my lawn.  So I thought these nails were appropriate, even though the flowers aren't yellow!

Started with a base of BKind Les Hamptons, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

After waiting for about half an hour for it to dry, did a gradient using the base polish, Essie Walking the Walk and Quo Stormy Night.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from Nicole Diary L20 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Sparkly Blue Nails

I wore this combination a couple months ago and I have to say, this was one of those times that I think the nails looked better before stamping.  They still turned out good but the polish base colour, with the sparkles was just *chef's kiss!

Started with a base of two coats of Essie Push Play, no top coat.

Topped with Bees Knees Lacquer The Crone, one light coat, no topcoat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  I have to say this is absolutely stunning, even if the pictures do not do it justice!  Love the look of this; my nails sparkled so much; I could wear this combination on repeat!

Stamped with image from Creative Shop 11 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.  This covered more of the base polish than I wanted but the nails were still pretty.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Spring Is In The Air!

Spring is in the air!  We've had warm temperatures and lots of rain...typical spring weather!  To me, these nails scream spring too, so I thought I'd share them now.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Essie Chasity, no top coat.

Topped with Glam Polish Sunset Surf (Group Custom 2023), no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Harvest Moon

Tonight, there will be a Harvest Moon and I'm sharing these nails as well for #MusicManiMonday, as an ode to Neil Young's classic, Harvest Moon. Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Essie To DIY For, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  I was doing a sponged gradient and I find that unless I topcoat and let it dry, that polish is removed sometimes from the gradient versus adding to it so always do the gradient on a coat of topcoat.

Did a sponged gradient with Essie To DIY For, as well as Essie Bolt and Be Bold and CND Decadence, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

This it what I used for the sponged gradient.

Stamped thumb and grasses with KADS Chinese 030 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief, and the sun from KADS Summer 009 using MdU 11, 53 and Konad red.

Added a few birds on a couple of the nails with Painted Polish Midnight Mischief using image from KADS Summer 009.

Layering Done Right

Another stunning layering combination!  I have so much fun layering polishes; it's one of my favourite things to do!  Fun fact:  These nails are from 2024 and I loved them so much that I recreated them and they are on my nails right now!

Started with a base of Essie Take the Lead, two coats, no top coat.

Topped with Pahlish Boo Bayou Test Batch.  Love!
