Nail Stamping: Cheetah print mani!

Just a quick post on my Cheetah print mani today. This is one of the more popular stamping manis out there, because it is funky, fun and easy to do! Even though the stamping could be crisper, I am quite happy with the final product!

Do you like it as much as I do? :)

What I used for this mani:

Base Polish: Catrice Carl Says Tres Chic
Stamp Polish: WnW Black creme
Stamping Plate: cheetah print from Fauxnad m57
Random blue dots: Nubar Nail Art Pen - Blue Frost

Nubar - Purple Rain

First up, many apologies for the lack of posts. I have just come back from Seoul (more about it in future post), and will get back to my blogging routine soon, I promise!

Nubar Purple Rain - two coats with top coat

Today I bring you Nubar Purple Rain, a dark purple jelly base packed with tiny holographic glitters. Formula is good, and the only complaint I have is this polish dries on the gritty side, but nothing a thick layer of top coat won't fix.

I have a thing with dark polishes that are filled with glitters/shimmers, because it reminds me of stars shining brightly in the midnight sky.  Dark color also matches my skin tone, which is a bonus!

I will soon bring you my polish haul from Seoul, let's just say it is quite epic (and have my bf sighed in disbelief)! Until then, take care my readers!

Nubar - Treasure

Just a quick post today. Nubar is a light purple scattered holo, and I really like it because even though the holo effect is quite subdued,  it is not in your face and still very pretty.

Nubar Treasure (two coats) with China Glaze Latticed Lilac (french tips)
I got some minor tipwear after a day, so I did a french mani with China Glaze Latticed Lilac crackle polish to cover it up. This is such a quick and easy way to change the look of any mani, I will be using this combination more!

Have you tried this mani before? Personally I am glad to find a new way to use my crackle polishes! Do you have other suggestions or ideas? I would love to hear from you!

Comparison - Nubar Gem vs. Jewel

Today I am doing a comparison between Nubar Gem and Jewel. I rarely do swatch comparison, so I hope you will like it!

Nubar Gem (L) vs Nubar Jewel (R)
When I received these two bottles, I was surprised at how similar they are. Both are from the Nubar Prisms Collection, where Gem is of a lighter brown shade than Jewel.

L to R: Jewel, Gem, Jewel Gem
As you can see on my nails, while both polishes have a brown base, Gem has a strong purple undertone, and Jewel is a medium brown. Although both are packed with scattered holographic glitters, the sparkles on Jewel appear to be more colorful. I am guessing this is because the holo effect is more apparent with a darker base color?

L to R: Jewel, Gem, Jewel Gem
I can't quite decide which one I like better. They are both unique in their own way. Do you prefer Gem or Jewel?

Nubar - Gem

Nuber Gem - artificial light

Today I have put on one of my untrieds - Nubar Gem from the Prism Collection.

Gem is a brown taupe with a purple undertone, scattered with tiny rainbow holographic glitters. The purple shade is stronger under soft lights (see below photos), and under strong lights Gem looks more brownish.

Here you can see the sparkles better
It is quite a unique polish, I think it is "office-appropriate" with just enough glitters to keep things interesting. The only thing I don't like about the polish is its grainy finish, even after two coats of topcoat.

The above mani is done with one coat of SV treatment, 2 coats of Gem, and 2 coats of CND super shine.
