December and Xmas haul!
Soooooo I've kind of been doing a bit of hauling over the last month and a bit Xp I was relatively good on my spending ban for most of the year but I treated myself to a few things at Christmas hehe. The temptation for Christmas and LE collections was just too much! I also received some awesome gifts too yay! The majority of my haul was nail polish (of course) and in about 1 month I bought about 6months worth of products HAHA. FAIL. Here we go!

HARE POLISHES!!!!! *squeal* I lusted after The First collection for SOOOOOOOOO long and when Nikole reformulated them I knew I had to get my hands on them! They are so gorgeous. I also picked up 2 from The Finders Keepers colleciton. There was a little mix up with my order and my polishes were accidentally sent to Mich from The Polish Well but she very kindly sent them on to me and also included a bottle of her franken Sloth for me too which was so sweet! Thank you Mich again =D

Inspired glitter gradient mermaid nails
Hello from HK ladies! I thought I'd squeeze in a quick post before I head out for some shopping. Shops here don't open until 11am and I've been waking up early so I'm trying to use my time wisely haha. Today's mani is from a little while ago and is inspired by this gorgeous mani by one of my favourite ladies Aysh. Being a lover of glitter gradient manis of course I had to do her mani myself!

I couldn't find my Ulta 3 mermaid green anywhere so I used 2 coats of Misa Dirty, Sexy, Money instead and applied China Glaze Atlantis (thank you so much Ange for this beauty!!!!!!) and Essence nail art twins Edward to the tips. Not the best glitter gradient I've done but oh well!

I haven't used my Dirty, Sexy, Money in ages so it settled haha.

I hope you're all doing well! My nails are currently nekkid while I'm on holiday and it feels so weird! Must do my nails sooooooooon.
Do you guys love glitter gradient manis too? Thanks for looking as always =)

Anna Sui 108
A quick NOTD for you today from the always fabulous Anna Sui. Oh how I love the products! The rose scent! The packaging! I picked up this gorgeous Anna Sui 108 flakie a few trips back to HK and I'm finally showing you today. Better late than never haha. And it's worth the wait too - it is AH-MAZING!!

Anna Sui 108 is an amazing polish that contains large flakie pieces suspended in a light blue glitter base. The base looks dark in the bottle but it's light blue when swatched. The flakie pieces are quite large actually and border on being actual iridescent glitter pieces. A cross between the two I guess??!! Here I've layered 2 coats over 1 coat of Misa High Waist Hue as underwear and 1 coat of Laka 81.

Close up:

Bonus bottle shot!

Off to sniff my lovely rose smelling fingers now haha. I love this combo so much!! What do you think?

Glittery snowflake manicure
Hi ladies! How have you all been? Please excuse the lack of posts this week. I've been super busy and just haven't been up for blogging much. Unfortunately my blogging mojo leaves me sometimes! As always I have so much to show you but so little time - I must time manage outside of work better next year! Today I have a quick snowflake manicure that I did very late last night. You can tell because I left such a huge gap between my cuticle and the nail bed but you can't really see it in my photos thankfully x)

I started off with 1 coat of Misa High Waist Hue as underwear to prevent staining. I then used 2 coats of China Glaze Blue Year's Eve which is a gorgeous sparkly dark blue polish. I stamped snowflakes from Konad plate m59 using Konad Special Polish in white and added a coat of China Glaze Snowglobe to top it all off for some glitter and sparkle.

Snowglobe is sooooooooooooooo awesome!! It's been on my wishlist FOREVER and I'm so glad they repromoted it xD Belowis a dodgy blurry photo I took I've purposely blurred it so you can see the gorgeous multicoloured glitter. You NEED SNOWGLOBE!!

I'm running out of time for Xmas manis doh! Are you rocking something festive on your nails today?
Thanks for looking as always =)

OPI plum rose manicure
Another day, another rose manicure for you ladies!! Seriously I am obsessed with roses haha. I guess because I don't get them often enough in real life I try recreate them on my nails *hint hint* Just a quick mani I did this week using one of my favourite pinky/plum colours - OPI Dim Sum Plum from the Hong Kong collection.

I started off with an underwear coat of Misa High Waist Hue to prevent staining. I then used 1 coat of Dim Sum Plum on all fingers. You can see my swatch and review of it in an earlier post here . I applied 2 coats of OPI Show It and Glow It! to my ring fingers as an accent and stamped full rose image from Konad plate m65 using Konad Special Polish in white on all other fingers.

I'm still super busy at the moment so my apologies for my lack of replies to comments etc. I have such a massive backlog of posts =( Can someone please lend me 6 hours extra per day?!

Cosmetic Cupcake manicure
Thank you so much for the well wishes and overwhelming response to my Birthday Giveaway! You guys rock! Just a quick post tonight to show you my celebration manicure to celebrate my 1st blog birthday. Yes I am corny like that and use any excuse to celebrate with a mani OK! I've wanted to do a cupcake manicure for a very long time now but I decided to save it for this blog milestone =D Here is my Cosmetic Cupcake manicure!

I wanted some bling so I went with 3 coats of the awesome Rescue Beauty Lounge Frugalista on all fingers except accents. I hauled this beauty in the 50% off sale last year and am now kicking myself for only purchasing 4 polishes.
Close up:

Frugalista is a gorgeous silver and purple glitter and I now know why Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes are so hyped about! The polishes are just gorgeous and it was easy to apply and quick to dry.

I then freehanded cupcakes on my accent fingers by following Rina's great cupcake tutorial. You might notice that my cupcake is in the same colour scheme as my logo! It by no means looks like the work of art Claude made for me but I tried =p I didn't even attempt the lippie and nail polish bottle as it would have been a fail haha. I am still completely in love with my logo!!
For this design I used a coat of Butter London Pink Ribbon as a sheer base. I then used China Glaze Sugar High to freehand a thick French tip and used Kiss nail art striper in white for vertical stripes to complete the cupcake liner. I then drew a large half circle on top of the cupcake liner using Ulta 3 chocolate cake and added dark red bullions to make sprinkles.

The pic above is of the design on my right hand (which I hardly show) as I actually preferred the way I did the cupcake. I got lazy with my right hand and didn't add the cherry which I did using China Glaze Empowerment. I topped it all with a coat of Coffret D’or gel mode topcoat which Christina gave me in one of our swaps. The topcoat makes my nails so lovely and shiny! I have yet to fully use it properly though.

I'm now trying to think of a mani design for my actual birthday! What would you suggest?

OPI Show It and Glow It! NOTD
I'm feeling very unmotivated at the moment so it’s just a simple NOTD from me today. I'm just over everything at the moment so I thought some glitter would help lift my mood! I decided to use OPI Show It and Glow It! from the Burlesque collection for a full manicure. I used it in my NYE manicure for one nail but it's so gorgeous it definitely deserves a full mani!
I LOVE glitter and I’m sure a lot of you do too! OPI outdid themselves with these glitters I think – they are so beautiful and are soooooo glittery. Show It and Glow It! is a gorgeous fuchsia glitter packed with lots of different coloured glitters.

I was hoping to get away with fewer coats of Show It and Glow It! by using 1 coat of Misa High Waist Hue as a natural base but I still ended up using 3 coats for full coverage which is pictured. The glitter dries very quickly but to a slightly rough finish so I topped it with a coat of Poshe topcoat. The wear wasn't very good for me - it started to chip by day 2.

The below close up pic isn’t the best but it was the best macro shot I had of this polish. I took this quick pic when I did my NYE mani and it just shows the different coloured glitters so well!

What's your favourite glitter polish?
Thanks for looking!

New Years Eve manicure
What a year 2010 has been! It has flown by so quickly and I am so blessed to have been able to share it with all of you on my blog. I want to thank each and every one of you for all your wonderful support in 2010!! You have all made my year so much more enjoyable =)
Here is my very rushed New Years Eve mani. I don't really like it but I don't have time to redo it unfortunately. I should have just stuck to using one of the OPI Burlesque glitters on all fingers! x) What have you got planned for New Years Eve? I'm off to a party tonight which should be fun! I'm not much of a party person but I'll make the most of it hehe.

Here's what I used:
Thumb – 2 coats of China Glaze Light As Air and stripes using Kiss nail art stripers in white and black. I also added a purple flower dazzling from Essence.
Index – 2 coats of Ozotic Pro 601. I then freehanded a french tip using BYS Pink With a Punch and used Kiss nail art stripe in silver glitter for the smile line.
Middle – 2 coats of Ulta 3 Snazzle and a purple rhinestone in the centre.
Ring – 1 coat of Misa High Waist Hue and 2 coats of OPI Show It and Glow It!.
Pinky – 2 coats of China Glaze Empowerment. I then did vertical stripes using Kiss nail art stripers in white and silver glitter.

I hope you all have a safe and happy New Year! Here's to a great 2011 filled with happiness and lots of nail polish and beauty items!!

My October and early November hauls
This post is a little late but better late than never I say! I did quite a bit of hauling as the exchange rate is just too awesome not to take advantage of at the moment. I consider it saving money in the long run by buying now because I'll purchase them anyway so I may as well do it now!

I did a small haul from Transdesign in early October and a bigger haul from 8ty8beauty towards the end of October. It was my 1st time ordering from both and customer service was mixed but in the end my polishes arrived in good condition which is the main thing!

From L-R: China Glaze Party Hearty set, Frosty and Merry Mint set
As soon I saw the 1st pics of the China Glaze 2010 Holiday collection I knew I had to add some to my collection. I wanted every polish but I'm trying to limit myself on the polishes I get so I just picked up the ones I most wanted. I also picked up the Fight like a Woman collection too which I featured in my pinktacular mani here.

My 1st Misa polish Dirty, Sexy, Money and China Glaze Millenium. Two polishes I have been wanting for AGES!

From L-R: Color Club polishes in Fashion Addict, Revvvolution and Wild at Heart
I've been lemming these for ages too and finally have them in my hot little hands! Color Club polishes ROCK.

From L-R: OPI Glitzerland and Diva of Geneva
I wanted a lot more from the Swiss collection but I limited myself to the ones I really wanted and to the colours I didn't have many of in my collection.

From L-R: OPI Extra-va-vaganza, Bring on the Bling, Show it and Glow it!, Sparkle-icious and Shimmer & Shimmer
I'm not sure I'll watch the movie but the polishes from the OPI Burlesque collection just looked divine. I looooove glitter and the swatches I saw of these looked amazing. Of course I couldn't resist and ended up with 5 from the collection. It would have been more but my self control won!

I also managed to purchase a GHD IV hair straightener from Catch Of The Day for an absolute steal! For international ladies, Catch Of The Day is an Aussie site that has a great deal every day available only for 24hrs. Every so often they do Catchathons where they do amazing deals on PS3s, PSPs, iPod touches etc. which are released every hour. Basically for these days you have to be waiting there on the hour every hour to see what is released and then snap it up right away. The site often crashes on these days due to the number of people trying to get a bargain. My sister - who mind you was supposed to be studying for exams - spent practically the whole day waiting around for the straightener to be released and managed to score one for me! I saved more than $80 so I am very happy indeed =D
What have you hauled recently? Thanks for looking!
