Cosmetic Cupcake

I received the STUNNING Kiko 255 Violet Microglitter from my dear friend Christina last Christmas and I finally tried it out this week. We share a mutual love of many things and purple nail polish is one of them!! Some super quick swatches of this beauty for you all today.


255 Violet Microglitter is a gorgeous dark violet filled with holographic microglitter. Isn't it just absolutely beautiful?? It has a great depth to it and lots of microglitter through it which isn't all that visible in the sun but very noticeable in the shade. You can really see the holo in the bottle! It applied well but it has a really gritty finish so I needed 2 coats of topcoat to smooth it all. 2 coats of 255 is pictured.

Thank you lovely Christina for this beauty!! I'm off to Europe next month for my belated honeymoon and I can't wait to check out a Kiko store for myself when I'm in London and Rome!

I did a swap recently with the lovely Sam from Fashion Polish for OPI Black Spotted (swatches of that to come!) and she kindly included some other awesome polishes for me including this beauty - Kiko Holographic 400. You sure know the way to my heart Sam!


400 is a linear steel grey holo and it is a stunner. Just look at all the awesome holo!!! The formula is opaque in 2 coats and application was reasonable but I did experience some dragging. I really enjoy Kiko polishes and I'm lucky to have a few in my collection now thanks to my wonderful international nail loving friends!

Last month I received some wonderful packages from 2 of my beautiful friends! First is a very sneaky package from lovely Aysh!! In one of our many twitter conversations about food I mentioned that I adore British sweets and she sent me my absolute favourites - sherbet lemons and flying saucers!!! I literally snapped the pic below and then demolished them LOL. She also included the AH-MAZING Models Own Pink Fizz glitter. You can peep her post about it here! I'm itching to try it out but I'm not in the mood for glitter removal lately haha.


Next I received not 1 but 2 amazing packages from my dear Christina!! Seriously how much does she spoil me rotten??


Awesome polishes from Tony Moly, H & M, Erre Due, Nails Inc., A-England!


She included 2 beautiful personalised pieces of her jewellery! A sparkly Cosmetic Cupcake necklace (!!!!!) and a gorgeous black rose ring with silver glitter that unfortunately I couldn't capture in my pic. She is amazingly talented and creates so many beautiful pieces - check out her Etsy store Cel's Deconails.


Her 2nd package made me nearly fall over in my excitement. HOLO, FLAKIE, GLITTER and DUOCHROME AWESOMENESS. Arghhhhhhhhhhhh! Thank you for killing so many lemmings!!

When I got home from HK, one of the packages I had waiting for me was a lovely New Year package from my dear friend Christina! She ALWAYS spoils me rotten if you've read my blog for a while and this time it was no different!! Not only did she include amazing polishes (and makeup!) for me she also included a few pieces of her beautiful jewellery for my sister and I. I ADORE her Etsy store - she makes the most amazing jewellery, cute deco items and hand painted nails ♥

Hi ladies! How are you all? I hope you're all doing well! I've been in holiday mode these last few days and haven't really been up for much blogging but I wanted to show you an awesome swap I did recently. I swapped with lovely Marte from **Girly - Addictions** for some polishes and beauty items and her package arrived just before Christmas yay! Swapping with international bloggers is SO much fun and I wish I could do it more often. It's so awesome to try products I otherwise would never be able to get my hands on!




Eeeeeek my first Teeez and Kiko polishes! Oh boy the Teeez holos are gorgeous. I did a quick NOTD last night using one of them and it was just amazing. It applied like butter and dried super fast - it's love! The Catrice polish is from the Sydney collection which is so cool!


THANK YOU so much Marte for fulfilling my longtime lemming of OPI Merry Midnight!!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ She also included an amazing KOH flakie called Green Stardust. It comes in this awesome looking case too hehe.

Catrice Sydney collection eye and cheek palette and a Hema Metallic Shine eyeshadow cream. The shades in the Sydney palette are named after Sydney landmarks like Taronga Zoo, Town Hall and Bondi Beach and the shades are lovely!

Marte also included a pair of her favourite and very cute house socks for me as well as some perfume samples and a handy mirror. A girl can never have enough pocket sized mirrors in my opinion because I always seem to misplace mine! Lastly some yummy sweets and cute Hello Kitty items!!! The Hello Kitty Pez is soooooo adorable!
