Guest review: Arbonne Perfecting Liquid Foundation SPF 15
Today I have another guest review from P! I was very fortunate to attend an event a while ago where I was introduced to Arbonne cosmetics. One of the products I got to try out was the Arbonne Perfecting Liquid foundation SPF 15 and I was so super impressed with it just from one swatch. Coverage was absolutely fantastic from a small pump and it covered all manner of redness. The PR company very kindly sent me over a bottle to try out but alas the shade I chose was totally the wrong shade for me which I was very disappointed about. Luckily the shade suited P perfectly so I was able to pass it on to her!

What they say:
"Arbonne's Perfecting Liquid Foundation SPF 15 is the ultimate in liquid foundation technology with polypeptides, gliding seamlessly onto the skin creating an even smooth tone.
The Perfecting Liquid Foundation SPF 15 with light reflecting properties is delivered effortlessly through the airless pump, resulting in a flawless finish, whilst maintaining moisture levels for a smooth and healthy skin tone.
The exclusive Optilight Technology helps ensure that the product is non-comodogenic, enhancing breathability and reducing the chance of pore clogging and skin issues."

The review:
Hello again ladies! I'm slowly making my way through cosmetics that don't suit 'chelle's beautiful porcelain face. These are all the dark shades which seem to be in plenty supply which is lucky for me.
Here's the next tried and tested face improvement product - Arbonne Perfecting Liquid Foundation SPF 15 in Rosy Beige:

Before trying this foundation I hadn't even heard of Arbonne. Sounded like a famous french philosopher. Or a soccer player. Now I know better, after googling this brand. ('chelle: I'd never heard of Arbonne either don't worry!)
I thought the Clinique moisturiser had great coverage, until I tried this one out. The tiniest pump covered one cheek! I was impressed. My skin tones were even, and blemishes gone - all with quick flicks of the fingers. Very light and non greasy. This foundation passed the 1 minute application and removal tests. Although slightly more cleanser was required to remove it all.

I prefer this foundation for going out at night, when I need a slightly heavier base. This foundation smells great too. Always a plus for me, as I'm sure that if a product stinks, others will smell the stink too. The only thing is the dispenser is a bit too long for my liking and doesn't fit in my bag (basketball shoes and lunch get first priority) so I have to leave this one at home.
I would also recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable, long lasting, easy to apply and smooth foundation.
I've got to head now - basketball, sweaty nose and sweat moustache all call.
Thanks for sticking with me!
Details: Arbonne Perfecting Liquid Foundation SPF 15 is available in 15 shades from Arbonne International online store for $55.
For international ladies, it can be purchased from the US Arbonne International online store for $40US and the UK Arbonne International online store for £30.00GBP
The product featured in this post was provided to me for consideration and I then passed it on to P. As always, reviews on Cosmetic Cupcake are 100% honest opinion. My Disclosure Policy can be viewed here.

Guest review: Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15
Hi ladies! Earlier in the year I was very fortunate to receive a sample of the Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15 in beige when I attended a sneak preview at Clinique HQ but unfortunately it was too dark for me. It was such a shame because I really enjoy the products from the Moisture Surge range and I love tinted moisturizer so I really wanted to try the combination of them both. Luckily I was able to pass it onto D's sister P who will be guest reviewing the product for me today. This is the first guest review on Cosmetic Cupcake and it hopefully won't be the last!
I have to refer to D's sister as P because her name is quite unusual. She's a super lawyer by trade and is a HUGE basketball lover and plays whenever she can. She isn't all that into makeup at all and when she does she uses mainly drugstore products. I'm trying to get her into more beauty related things!

Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15 in 04 Beige:
What they say:
"A super hydrating, lightweight modern gel-cream, this tinted moisturiser offers just enough coverage to create an even, flawless complexion. The smooth texture blends evenly and effortlessly, leaving skin feeling cool, refreshed and completely hydrated. Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser delivers all day colour, provides an immediate boost of moisturisation and strengthens skin's moisture barrier, bringing dry and delicate skin back into a health balance. Perfect for all foundation-phobes, it's appropriate for all skin type and provides a hint of skin-perfecting colour with just enough coverage to make the appearance of imperfections disappear providing a naturally pretty look."

The review:
Hi ladies! It seems that poor 'chelle is still trying to get her health back so I thought that I would try and help out with a few product reviews. I'm not a big cosmetics fan for 3 reasons:
One, I don't know how to apply make up properly. Sometimes I go to make up stores / sections and hesitantly pick up a product. "Can I help you Miss?" "yes, um... what is this?" "That's loose powder". "Oh... ok, thanks" I didn't buy it. Because I don't know what loose powder is. Maybe it's the opposite of tight powder.
Two, I'm lazy (see One). I can't even expand on the reason, I'm that lazy.
Three, I don't have time. I can't believe I even have time to write this. I'd normally be working. Or studying. Or playing basketball. Did I ever tell you that basketball is my passion?
So when 'chelle asked me to road test some cosmetics that she was unable to try (because I'm so much darker than her), I said I'd definitely try - as she explained to me what tinted moisturiser was and handed me my first product.
When I think of Clinique I think of old women. No offence to 'chelle cos I know how much she swears by Clinique. ('chelle: I'm slightly obsessed with Clinique, must be the pastel packaging haha.) But I'm definitely seeing a younger market appeal with this foundation.

Quick application is essential for me - less than 1 minute at most, for the entire face (mind you I have a tiny face). This moisturiser definitely met that test. Very smooth, light and fantastic coverage with fingers. It didn't feel oily and I hardly had to use much. It even smelt fresh. A good size in this cute 30ml bottle, perfect to take around in my bag already full of basketball shoes, gym gear and lunch. Another essential is fast removal, without residue. Again - tick. I only use Cetaphil to wash my face, and this moisturiser came off easily with this trusty cleanser, in no time. It covers blemishes well and doesn't rub off or flake like other tinted moisturisers. This can be worn on its own (which I do as I don't have time to apply tight or loose powder on top) or under make up.

I use this straight after I have played ball. The coverage lasts even though I haven't quite cooled down yet and end up with a sweaty nose and a sweat moustache.
My only reservation would be cost, so I'd wait to see just how long this bottle lasted and if I thought it was really worth the Clinique price tag, which I assume to be about $50. ('chelle: Good guess!) However, overall I would definitely recommend Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15.
Details: Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15 is available in 6 shades from www.clinique.com.au and Clinique counters nationally for $50.
It is available for purchase in the US from www.clinique.com for $24.50US.
