Pink gradient manicure
I felt like something pink and understated the other day so I decided to do a pink gradient manicure using another Beauty World gradient manicure kit I picked up in HK. Previously I showed you the purple gradient manicure I did using one of these kits and I really like them as they are so simple and easy to use!

I don't think I've mastered the gradient look quite yet.. I don't think it looks "blended" enough. I need to get off my butt and try out the Konad sponging supplies I got as I think that technique looks a bit better.

This kit is one of the "elegance" kits so the colours are softer compared to the other purple and blue kits they have. You get a sheer pink (looks more like a nude in the bottle though), a glitter in a light pink jelly base and a clear glitter. The colours are very work appropriate yet have just the right amount of sparkle to be different.

The process for this one was a little different. You apply a layer of the sheer pink polish over the whole nail first, then apply it again but only to the top 2/3 of the nail. Let dry then apply the glitter in pink jelly base to the top 1/3 of the nail and the clear glitter to the bottom 2/3 of the nail. I applied the clear glitter to most of the nail. The pic below doesn't really flatter this manicure as it looks like there's something weird going on with the tips but it looked fine in real life. I liked this mani but I was craving something brighter after a day lol.

I really like these kits so I bought an extra one to give away to one of my awesome readers in my next giveaway. My 1st blog birthday is in February and then in March it's my birthday (oh NO another year older!) so I've got a big giveaway planned ;) Make sure to keep an eye out for it!
What colour combinations do you like for gradient manicures? I'd love to hear your favourites!
Thanks for looking!

Purple gradient manicure
Hi ladies! I'm still in HK at the moment so there hasn't been much time for me to blog unfortunately. I've been catching up with family and basically eating nearly every hour of the day! Plus some shopping of course! Here is a purple gradient manicure I did last week using a gradient kit I found here.

I used the purple gradient kit pictured below by Beauty World to create the look. These kits come in other great colours such as red and blue too. I couldn't resist picking one up as I LOVE gradient manis but am lazy to do them =p

You get 3 colours in this purple kit - a dark purple, a purple/blue glitter suspended in a purple jelly and a clear glitter.

Instructions on the back:

Pretty simple huh? Just layer the polishes on following the instructions and add topcoat and it should look like below.

The polishes applied well and the brushes were good even though they are small bottles. Drying time was decent and I didn't have to wait too long in between coats. I don't think I did my mani very well though because it doesn't look very blended but oh well!

On another note, I found a simple online photo editor called Picnik to edit photos while I'm here. It's no Photoshop and the lighting is still yellow but I just had to tweak and watermark my photos.
