Review: Anna Sui nail care oil
I'm a bit of a cuticle product fanatic so I'm always on the lookout for new products to try. I love trying balms, oils, butters.. you name it. So how could I resist when I discovered this ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY BEAUTIFUL limited edition Anna Sui nail care oil when I was in Hong Kong last year?! Ok ok I admit I'm biased though because I adore anything and everything Anna Sui especially when it comes to her nail products.

The oil is housed in the beautiful signature Anna Sui dress shaped bottle which is very easy to hold and use considering the shape. The oil contains three tiers in purple, light pink and a bright pink - my favourite colours and just so girlie! It smells like roses as her other products do but I found it quite subtle compared to the other liquid based products I've tried from her makeup range.

The brush is flat and square - which for a polish I would most likely find a bit difficult to use and to get a clean finish but for a cuticle oil it's not a problem.

To use it, you need to give it a gentle shake to mix the 3 layers which forms a milky lavender shade. The formula is absolutely fantastic - it's wonderfully moisturising, non-sticky and most importantly very fast absorbing. When the sales assistant tried it out on me I was so surprised at how smooth the oil felt and how quickly it absorbed leaving my fingers feeling and smelling lovely and rose-y. A little goes a very long way and you only need a small swipe to hydrate your entire cuticle. The formula is silicone based and contains plant-derived squalene and smooth oil to lock in moisture and hydrate.

Overall: I am absolutely head over heels in love with the Anna Sui nail care oil. It smells amazing, absorbs quickly and is just so so beautiful! I can't recommend it enough and it's a must buy if you come across it. It's a bit on the pricier side at about $18Aus but a little goes a long way and it's Anna Sui. Enough said!
Details: I purchased my bottle from the Anna Sui stand at LCX in Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong for $130HK (so about $18Aus). I found it available online from Urban Outfitters and beauty.com for $16US and YesStyle.com for $22US.

What are your favourite nail treatment products? Any recommendations?

My Hong Kong November 2013 haul!
Happy Friday ladies!! I've been back at work for only 5 days and I feel like I need another holiday already haha! I've definitely got the post holiday blues but at least it's Christmas soon so there's public holidays (and presents!) to enjoy =D Today I have my haul from my latest trip to Hong Kong for you!!! I didn't actually buy much in comparison to my other trips which is a good thing for my wallet haha xp The exchange rate wasn't so great and I'm saving for a few things so I used a LOT of restraint! I did more eating to make up for it lol.

As soon as I saw the Deborah Lippmann Space Oddity set on her Instagram I knew I had to have it!!! They aren't your typical holiday shades but they look absolutely gorgeous by themselves and together too. I also picked up the Stronger which is the collaboration shade with Kelly Clarkson - it's been on my wishlist for months and I finally picked it up squeeeeeeeeee! I love Kelly Clarkson!

I let myself get talked into buying the OPI Mariah Carey Pure 18K White Gold & Silver Top Coat xp I missed out on The Man With the Golden Gun last year so couldn't miss out this year!

I hauled a few things from Etude House for myself and for pressies! I love their stuff because it's just so sweet - pink everything! I got some polishes and a foot mask for myself and scored the little tin as a freebie.

My niece had her birthday party while I was in HK and my sis in-law asked me to do a little nail bar for the girls. Of course I said yes and it was so much fun! I didn't bring any of my tools so I bought the Lucky Trendy Dot Artist set to use but didn't end up needing to use it so I'm keeping it for myself haha. The purple is really pretty! I came across a Korean brand called Ally's Ajell and they had dual nail art pens so I picked up one in white to try out. I also bought 2 gorgeous glitters from Tony Moly!

I adore Anna Sui and I couldn't resist this limited edition Nail Care Oil!!! Isn't it just gorgeous? You shake it up and then apply and works wonderfully.

I stocked up on my favourite Zoya Remove and also picked up my first Pixie Dust in Stevie. I wish I had got a few other shades too because I am loving Pixie Dust! They wear so well and the shades are so pretty.

I picked up one of the new Canmake creme blushes in 04 and also restocked my HG Dolly Wink mascara which came with a bonus eyeliner woot!

Bioderma is my HG makeup remover and so I had to pick up this new bottle with pump dispenser. You should have seen how excited I was then I saw it haha!

Some lovely gifts from Jen who blogs over at Life and Lens of Beauty! I met up with her as usual and did some shopping =D Thank you Jen and I can't wait to go shopping with you next year!! (Thanks for letting me use your Joyce Beauty member discount btw!!)

I picked up the new Roses de Chloe on an impulse but I haven't opened it yet because I'm not sure I'm going to keep it! I love the smell of it but I have so many perfumes already I'm not sure I really need another one.. I might end up gifting it to my sis but we'll see.

Some Forever 21 accessories! I love their accessories and always try to pick up a few each trip. Their accessories department takes up like an entire floor and it is always SO DAMN HARD deciding what to buy when on a budget!

My biggest splurge on my trip was a new 11" MacBook Air!! My beloved Air died a few months ago so I took advantage of duty free and bought a replacement. The 11" is the perfect size I think!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Hong Kong haul! Thanks for looking as always and don't forget to enter my Face of Australia Carnivale giveaway!

Anna Sui 108
A quick NOTD for you today from the always fabulous Anna Sui. Oh how I love the products! The rose scent! The packaging! I picked up this gorgeous Anna Sui 108 flakie a few trips back to HK and I'm finally showing you today. Better late than never haha. And it's worth the wait too - it is AH-MAZING!!

Anna Sui 108 is an amazing polish that contains large flakie pieces suspended in a light blue glitter base. The base looks dark in the bottle but it's light blue when swatched. The flakie pieces are quite large actually and border on being actual iridescent glitter pieces. A cross between the two I guess??!! Here I've layered 2 coats over 1 coat of Misa High Waist Hue as underwear and 1 coat of Laka 81.

Bonus bottle shot!

Off to sniff my lovely rose smelling fingers now haha. I love this combo so much!! What do you think?

Anna Sui 304 NOTD
Anna Sui. Just saying the name for me conjures up the signature rose scent and the beautiful, elegance of her products. I’ve been dying to try out her polishes so I was determined to pick up one or two when I went back to HK last year. I was so lucky as the boy let me choose 2 polishes as part my gift for our anniversary which we celebrated while in HK =) I have for you today 304.

304 is a medium pink, almost red polish with subtle gold shimmer through it. I absolutely ADORE the smell of roses and the polish has just the right amount of scent. The beautiful rose bottle is to die for too!

It's so GORGEOUS!!!
The polish is darker on the nail than in the bottle which is a little disappointing as I wanted a light pink polish. No matter however as it’s a GORGEOUS pinky red. Dry time is quick and it dries to a very glossy finish. The brush was fantastic and I didn't have to do any cleanup.
Close up:

The gold shimmer is quite subtle on the nail but you see it when light hits it. Unfortunately it was overcast here in Sydney when I wore it so I couldn’t see it in the sun and admire the shimmer. You can see it a lot better in the bottle:

The only issue I had with this beautiful polish was the terrible wear!! It didn’t even last 12hours and I used topcoat >=( I applied it at about 11pm at night and then went to work at 8am the next morning and realised it had chipped! I hadn’t even started working and it had chipped! The tipwear was terrible by the end of my shift. Here’s how it looked after I got home from work:

If only the wear was better! I’ll leave you with some more pictures of this pretty polish =)
