Baby girl

Hello!
This is Christina from Sweden and I´m new here at Copic Marker Europe. I´m already a dt-member for the Swedish Copic designteam and I´m loving it. Copiccoloring is a way of life.

Now for my first project for Copic Marker Europe. I have made a babycard, for a newborn girl and I have used this cute stamp from hÄnglar &stÄnglar. I just love to do CAS cards and this is no exeption.

I´m so happy that I got hold of this stamp. The soft pink papers are from Gummiapan and so is the text, it says "Welcome to the world" in Swedish.

I have kept the card in soft pink colors and I have used some of my favorite Copics.

Copics I have used

Skin E11-21-00-000-R11-20
Hair E51-53-23
Pink RV(97)-95-93-91
Ground W5-3-2-1

RV97 is a pen I have made myself by blending RV99 and RV91 in an empty pen. It´s a bit tricky but worth it.

That´s all from me this time! Have a wonderful day!

Clean and simple

Hi everyone, Åsa here today with some new inspiration for you all.

Im showing a clean and simple card today.
I like to let the image take focus on the card.

As you can see I have used very light colors in my coloring.
BUT even if I want a very light end delicate feeling of the image, I also use the darker colors too when I color! Elizabeth made a very good tutorial on this, showing the difference. So, even if you want a very light look, don´t forget to use the darker colors too, just to get the depth. But don´t use them as much as the lighter ones.

I have used the following colors:
Skin: E13-11-00-000-R20
Hair: E44-43-42-41
Lilac: V95-93-91-00
Turquoise: BG72-01-0000
Beige: E43-42-41

Hope you all like it.

Tutorial how you can use the Copic Blender

Today I'm going to show you three ways of using the Blender (nr 0).

It is excellent to "erase" with, if you happen to color outside the lines on the image.
Use it to 'soften' transitions when adding shadows around the subject.
Or make a dotted fabric on a dress.

When I sit and paint, sometimes a little colour will go over the lines on the image. The blender is perfect to "push" the color in again.

Usually I use the wide tip for this, hold the stylus a little inclined, and push the color a bit at a time.

When I have colored the image, I like to add a shadow around the entire subject. I think it enhances the picture more and makes it more alive. I usually add a brown shade, eg W3 in the places where it is shaded most. Next, I take W1 thinly around the whole subject, and then I follow with W0. It is now I follow with the blender to make a smoother transition between W0 and the white paper.
Finally, I use the soft brush and make circular rotating brush strokes just next W0.

W3

W1,0

Blender (0)

And last but not least, the blender is perfect to make cute little dots in the fabric on a dress.

Using the soft brush tip, I hold the pen upright properly so I get nice round spots, placing it gently on the color that I want to be spotted.

I do this several times and in the same places all the time,
so I get just the right emphasis of dotty fabric.

The stamps I am using are from Bildmålarna. I chos to do a painting of my pre-painted motifs.

Baptism present

Hi there Everyone,
Åsa here today with some copic inspiration.

Today Im showing a baptism present I have made for my sister in laws little son.
They made the whole reception/party in blue theme, so I had my colors made up for me.

Here are the card and present together.
I have wrapped the card up in some foilpaper.

Here is a close up on the card, all in clean and simple style, with the little boy´s names on the front.

When I do clean and simple cards I like the image to pop a little more then usual. To make that impression I always lay a grey shadow around the image. My favourite grey shadow colours are the W´s and the N´s.

Here arethe colours I have used:
Skin: E11-21-00-000-R11
Hair: E49-47-44-42
Blue: B97-95-93-91
Wings: B91-000
Green: YG97-95-91-03
Needle: N6-4-2-0
Shadow: N4-2-1-0-Blender

I hop you like it.

Have a wonderful August.
See you soon again!

Clean and simple...

Hi everyone,

Åsa here again with some more Copic inspiration.
First I wan´t to thank you for all the lovely comments on my tutorial.

Today Im going for a little more clean and simple look.
I love this style, but at the same time it´s hard.
It´s important to make the image 'pop'.
To do that I allways do an extra grey shadow around the image, it makes the feeling a little more 3D.

Here comes a close up on the little Mo Manning cutie.

I have used the following solours:

Skin: E11-21-00-000-R20-11
Hair: E49-57-55-53-51
Pink: RV97-95-93-91
Pot: W3-1-0
Floor: E43-42-41
Shadow: W5-3-1-0

Hope you all like it.

Have a wonderful weekend!
