Hello all,

Today I have a Christmas card for you..with lot of ice.

Here it is ,
now let's start to colour...
I have started with the lightest colour B0000.

After having coloured the ice blocks I thought it was fun to draw an icy background too.

I am not an expert but it is great to try new techniques right?
And practice is always the key.. It was such fun to do too !

Of course the cute penguin needed some colour too.

Below you can find the colouring video,
step by step to give an idea how I have created this card.

Was it clear?
It takes quite a lot of time to create videos but if they are helpful for you it is all worth it.

WEDDING SEASON

Hi everyone!! It's Virginia here with my June tutorial for you.

I've not done a completed project yet. I'm still thinking about what to do with my coloured stamp but, the thing is that in Spain, where I live, it is coming into wedding season. For this reason, I've been working on something useful when I colour my wedding stamps, and one of the most difficult things for me is thinking about the backgrounds.

Today I want to give you a new inspiration to your wedding projects.

I've used this sweety Tiddly Ink stamp. I think is the ideal stamp for a wedding project.

The Copic colours I've used are:

Skin: E13-E21-E00-R21
Bridegroom suit and shoes: N9-N7-N6-N5
Bride dress and shoes: R85-R83-R81
Hedges:BG97-BG95-BG93-BG91-R21
Ground: G46-G43-G40-YG21
Sky: B0000-B91-C1-C00-Blender
Heart and roses: R39-R29-R21-R14

As usual, here you have a very simple step by step video tutorial:

And remembar that I have a step by step video tutorial about how to do the sky on my YouTube channel:

And that's all. I hope you like my tutorial and hope it will be useful for you.

See you next month. Bye!!

Ghostly White...

Hello everyone!

It's Sue here today with a fiendish tutorial!

As it is now the time of year when we all love colouring ghosts, snowmen, polar bears I thought I would show you how I colour white with my Copics!

The items I have used for this colouring technique are -
The ghost stamp from Halloweeners Clear Stamp Set by Whimsy Stamps
Copic Markers
W3, W1, W0
C3, C1, C0
BV00, B000, B0000
and 0 Colourless Blender
I decided to colour three ghosts each in different shades to represent white,
Ghost number 1!
I coloured the areas where the darkest part of my image would be in W00 to provide a base for the darkest colour I'll be using.
It helps to remember that when you're colouring something to look white you are not colouring the white areas you are colouring the shaded areas.  My light source is coming from the top right hand side.
Then I coloured on top of the W00 with W3,
...then blended out the W3 with W1,

...then blended out the W1 with W00
...finally I used the Colourless Blender to push back the W00 so there is a smooth blend between the marker and the parts of the image I am leaving as a white space.
Ghost Number 2
I coloured the areas where the darkest part of my image would be in C0 to provide a base for the darkest colour I'll be using.
Again, my light source is coming from the top right hand side.
Then I coloured on top of the C0 with C3,
...then blended out the C3 with C1,
...then blended out the C1 with C0,
...finally I used the Colourless Blender to push back the C0 so there is a smooth blend between the marker and the parts of the image I am leaving as a white space.

Ghost Number 3
(Thank you to Elaine Hughes - Marker Geek for the colour combination for this one)!
I coloured the areas where the darkest part of my image would be in B0000 to provide a base for the darkest colour I'll be using.
Again, my light source is coming from the top right hand side.
Then I coloured on top of the B0000 with BV00,
...then blended out the BV00 with B000 and blend out the B000 with B0000,
...finally I used the Colourless Blender to push back the B0000 so there is a smooth blend between the marker and the parts of the image I am leaving as a white space.
I repeated all the above steps to give a real depth of colour.
Here are my three ghosts so far!  What do you think?  Do you have a favourite?
I finished the ghosts off by colouring their shoes and adding white highlights with a gel pen.
I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial, colouring white is so useful, not only can you colour ghosts, snow, animals, you can also use exactly the same technique for colouring white clothes and flowers!

It would be great to see your white colouring, please share your cards with us at Copic marker Europe by following the link

This is the project I made once I had finished my ghostly colouring!
Thank you for popping by.
Happy Copic colouring

Stronger´s rules

Hi there Copic loversElena F here from Scrap-lanak Ganbaran.

I made a shaker card staying out of my "comfort zone". I made a marble style sea background, using Copic Refills.

Here is the finished project picture, but after that, you've got step by step pictures on how I  made the background and at the end of the post, a few step pictures to see how I coloured the fish.

For the background I used my Copic refills.

Starting my background with: B000, BG72, BG53.

Then I added an activator sprayed as the alcohol ink dries so fast.

Time to cover more of the desired area by adding more drops of BG10 and B93 here and there.

More light covering with B000 and a bit more activator to get the ink to run.

I splatted some gold pigment on the entire background to add more interest.

To finish I took my Multiliner and Copic Opaque White to add some random contrast between different ink marbles. I saw a similar design on Instagram and I found it very interesting so I went for it. Now my background is done.

To make my shaker I stamped my sea life design on acetate with Stazon black ink.

I coloured the fish a little, as they are the focus on the design. Be sure you colour on the reverse of the stamping - Stazon is not compatible with Copics.

On acetate you can't blend like on colouring paper, but this colouring is only to make the fish pop a little.

Still on the reverse of the stamping, I painted in Opaque White, the water bubbles to finish with this acetate window.

I coloured all the fish in the same way so I'm going to show you in steps how I coloured one of them.
Starting deepest colour with RV66.

Blend with medium tone RV55.

 Covering lightest areas with RV32.

Repeat these three steps again to add more depth.

 Covering spots with V09.

I coloured the fish tails in green. My first choice was violet but I thought this would be too dark, so I swapped to green, starting with lightest YG21.

 Medium tone YG23.

Some touches of G94 on the deepest areas of tails.

Don´t forget to repeat these steps again to blend colouring well.

Hope you enjoyed this post.
Thanks for sticking with me to the end!
