Tuesday Morning Sketches #43

Hey peeps and Happy Tuesday! I think I like the second day of the week better than Monday...lol! Mostly because I get to let you know about Tuesday Morning Sketches latest sketch challenge! :P I know I usually whine *with some cheese on the side* about how some of the sketches Melissa throws at us scare the HECK out of me...lol...but this week is different...this is my kid of sketch I can work with and not feel like a fish out of water! LMBO! Seriously! I mean I can take on ANY sketch if I see a sample...but with this...being on the team...OMG it's like walking blind into a room. Yeah...I'm that bad at that kind of creativity! LO's KILL me...but DANG I love them! ANYWHO...I managed to kill this one...or so I hope! I know I'll be knoched over with a feather at what the rest of the team does! *hides* LOL!

It was fun to work with this image by this weeks sponsor who happens to be new to the game. Her name is Lia from Lia Stampz and her selection of little characters she has are super adorable. I knew I wanted to play with Twink as soon as I saw him. Seeing the sketch and the image POP in my head...it all clicked! It was one of those "the heaves opened up" kinda moment. Ok...there I go with the cheese...lol. Anywho...this was my first time trying out the clouds using the scalloped punch and my Copic airbrush can. :D I need to try that more often. Anywho...check out Tuesday Morning Sketches to see what the team has been up to and make sure to leave them some love! Hope to see you play along!

Makeup For The Weekend #11

Hello all and HAPPY FRIDAY!!! This week's Makeup for the Weekend Challenge is brought to you by... Lisa K.! Lisa is challenging you to use the provided sketch for your creation. Here is my card based on the sketch! I didn't take this one too literal...lol. I actually just turned it on it's side but kept the sketch as is. I was also gonna punch out circles to resemble rocks...but then though flowers would be prettier to use with Kristen the Beautiful Day Fairy. You can't really see it, but the background is airbrushed using B41 and the wings are glittery.

I cannot wait to see what you all come up with!! Make sure to check out the Paper Makeup Stamps blog for any further details AND make sure you visit the makeup artists playing!

That's it for now! I have TONS to catch up on swap wise...something I said I wouldn't get myself in to...but of course fell in the trap! I can't resist a great swap! Sue me! LOL! Have a great weekend!

Make sure to stop by tomorrow to play with our JUGs challenge! It's gonna be a fun one!

WOO HOO...It's October!!!!!!

Alright...it's the first day of October!!!! I am SOOO happy! I'm sure you know why! You don't? Well...I am a Halloween girl! I love all things spooky and Halloweenie!!! This is MY Christmas/Valentine's Day/Birthday!!! Yes...{heart} it that much! :D

This card I made here is for Melissa's Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge! Oh...and how fun is it that it's the #13 challenge??? LOL! Faith...well for me? I think so! :P I haven't made a "longer" card in a while so this sketch was perfect for that!

So to kick off the first day of October...here is a Halloweenie card! I omitted the sentiment and just decided to use the swirls...but all in all...you can tell it's the sketch...lol. Ohhhhh and I broke out this abandoned TAC Halloween set I bought from Joani last year I believe and hadn't inked! I don't even remember the name...lol. Yeah I'm awful I know!

Ok...I think I'll cut this one short! I'm on a serious candy rush! :S I don't know if you can tell the candy on the picture...well...I ate a whole bunch of those PLUS some M&M's! You can blame Joni for that! She'll know what I mean soon! ;) LMBO! Ok...now I'm gone! Have a great day!

Welcome home mommy and a quick project!

Yes...my mommy is home and my worries have vanished! Although the work load is to come...that is MINISCULE compared to the worry that even appeared in my worst of nightmares. I know this may sound like exaggeration...but OMG no it's not. I was waking up in the middle of the night just sad and worried if she was being mistreated because she was confused or something...yeah...I'm worrisome like that!

So now that all of that is in the past...it's time to concentrate on what's to come for the near future. THANKS TO GOD and to all your wonderful prayers my mom is safe at home AND confusion free. Looks like they did take care of her UTI with amazing care and I am very thankful for that. I guess it did take me to get all commando on them...lol. Seriously though...I thank each and everyone of you who have been there through and through for both of us with your thoughts and AMAZING prayers. A million prayers back to you all! Of course a BIG cyber hug and kiss as well... She also sends millions of thanks to each and everyone of you!
Now on to what I made for mommy. So as I was anxious last night after cleaning her room and fixing the hospital bed we had for my dad and just tired and sat down and made this cute caddy for her medicine. I bought this template this weekend from Becky at Inking Idaho and had to make it while I waited for the last load of clothing to dry. Check out her AWESOME tutorials and oh so darn cute work! This one caddy I made is a bit bigger than the other caddy/basket I made to hold my Ciao Copics and airbrush cans. Since my mom LOVES sunflowers..I thought I'd try turning these Black-Eyed Susans into sunflowers...lol. I think I achieved it! I also HAD to ink up my new favorite Sprout from TGF...Dahlia! I love this little girl! I also can't get enough of this adorable Sunny Glen DP...so I had to use it again. I threw in her medication to personalize it!

Ok...I'm off because I'm needed! :) <---yeah...that smile says it all without me saying too much!

Copics used:
Supplies:
CS/DP: CChip, SSun, OOlive, Sunny Glen DP, & C. C. Designs white
Ink: BBlack & Copics
Stamps: Dahlia from TGF
Embellishments: Grosgrain ribbon in Olive, CChip, & VVanilla
Others: Black-Eyed Susans dies, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, white gel pen, airbrush machine, & wire

Super Saturday Challenge!

Sorry for my lateness...and not to mention absence. I've been in a funk and well...my crafting mojo disappears with my funk! UGH! It's coming back some! After a nice visit with my uncle and seeing and hearing what he's been thru with now being a cancer survivor 3 years and running after being told he ONLY had 3 to 6 months to live...well...my "issues" pale in comparison! So after crying with him and then just cracking up because my mom is such the jokester...I'm feeling a lighter shade of blue! *wink*

So today is Saturday...if you didn't know that yet...WAKE UP! LOL! So I ALMOST missed my post for Melissa's turn to host the Saturday Super Challenge! DANG was it a challenge...in a few ways too! First...Mel's challenge was to use a sketch courtesy of sketchlovers.com! I am SOOOO not good AT ALL when making my images at a slant so that's challenge #1! Challenge #2...coming out of my funk! Challenge #3...my coloring hand is in a splint because my CT is acting up again! Challenge #4...LV double dog dared me to use her Copics to make my card! DANG...I can't believe I survived it! LOL! So...alas...here is my sad and pathetic attempt at Mel's sketch challenge!

So...how's this for Miss Independent? Sophie doesn't miss her man away working his butt off...lol...looks like me...except I would be at a desk stamping...lol!!! Sophie is the Real Housewife of the Forest!
Check out what Mel & Joni made! They kicked butt with it! And I have to say I am so proud I even wiped a tear away! Melissa used her new Prismacolor Markers for the challenge and all thanks to my pushing Prismas...lol! High five chica!
POST EDIT: OMG I am seriously loosing it! I forgot to say that I hope you participate in this challenge! If and when you do...upload your card to SCS using the keyword BLOGC5! Then leave a comment letting Mel know! :)
