Cutie Pie DT Card - Dies and Digis

We have a new challenge for you at Cutie Pie, this month our theme is "Dies and Digis" and we're sponsored by Little Miss Muffet, who very kindly gave the DT some super cute digis to play with.  I chose to use Larry's Daffodil, colouring the image with my Promarkers.
Also, if you play along, don't forget to make your project as cute as you can!
I created a background for my springtime scene using coloured paper and a variety of dies.  The grass die is by Craft Emotions, the cloud dies are by Joy, the sentiment and flower dies are by Dovecraft, and the plant pot die is by First Edition.  I added some Flower Soft soil and a little bit of inking to bring the scene to life.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -

Aud Sentiments - #175 - Easter or Spring Sentiment
CRAFT - #406 - Easter / Spring

We have lots of prizes up for grabs this month as we have FIVE fabulous sponsors - Crafty Ribbons, Di's Digi Downloads, Crafty Sentiments Designs, Robyn's Fetish, and Bugaboo.

The background was embossed with a bunting design using an Embossalicious folder and the topper and frame were cut with Spellbinders Grand dies.  the bunting was made with a Joy die and the birthday cake embellishment was made with dies from my Xcut Birthday Party set.

Kitty Bee Showcase Card - Cupcake Surprise Pup.......Again!

It's the third Wednesday of the month, so it's time for my Kitty Bee showcase project, which this month is a cute shaker card using Cupcake Surprise Pup, the same image as last month's card.  He's just so cute I couldn't resist using him again this month!  He's been coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with Glossy Accents, then fussy cut and stuck to the card with dimensional glue.
I kept this card fairly simple, making it suitable for a little boy, the colour choice also reflects this and picks out the colours of the image.
I made the shaker card in the traditional way, with foam tape and an acetate front, adding sequins, punched hearts, micro beads, mica flakes and shaved ice as the shaker elements.
The doodled border wasn't drawn on, it was actually stamped with a Papermania border stamp, the sentiment was stamped with a Papermania stamp too, I added a little colour to it with a red Promarker.
To embellish, I added a red frame to the aperture, cut with Spellbinders dies, and a row of cheerful bunting made with a Joy die.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Passion for Promarkers - #350 - Food and Drink
Get Creative - #41 - Bingo - Stamp, Black/Brown, Sentiment
Crafty Catz - #328 - Animal Magic
QKR Stampede - #195 - One for the Guys
As You Like It - Favourite Food or Drink and Why - It's got to be cake for me as I'm a keen baker, there's always something yummy in my cake tin, at the moment it's mango mousse cake.  A nice cup of tea would be a close second though!

A Gem of a Challenge DT Card - Weather

We have a new challenge starting today at A Gem of a Challenge, this time our theme is "Weather".  I was inspired by rainy weather an used an older, but no less lovely Pink Gem digi called Milly in the Rain, which I coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with Glossy Accents on the puddle and raindrops.
The papers are Lili of the Valley, Pastel Dreams, the edges of which I've inked with Ground Espresso Distress Ink and scuffed up with my Tim Holtz distress tool.  I also curled some of the corners and did a little bit of subtle tearing, adding a crystal gem behind a tear.  I also added a row of tiny dots made with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Carnation Pink down the right hand side.
To embellish, I added some crochet lace, stapling it into place with pink staples to add to the shabby look, a couple of rain clouds, cut with Joy dies from grey pearl card, a sentiment stamped with a Personal Impressions stamp, and some flowers and foliage made with Woodware punches.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -

GDT Card for Elisabeth Bell's World

After winning a challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World, I was asked if I'd like to be guest designer for the new challenge, which starts today.  The theme is "1, 2, 3, and a Tag", you must also use an Elisabeth Bell image.  I chose to use one stamped and die cut butterfly,  two rows of bunting, and three handmade flowers, along with a kraft tag and Elisabeth Bell digi, that I coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with Star Dust Stickles and Glossy Accents.
The pretty papers are Lili of the Valley, Timeless Victorian, I distressed the edges and inked some with Ground Espresso Distress Ink.  The loopy border was done with a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page set.
The large bunting was made with a Stampin' Up punch, the smaller bunting with a Joy die.  The flowers were made with a Woodware punch, and were inked with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink, and given Flower Soft centres, the foliage was cut with a Marianne die.  The butterfly was stamped a die cut with a Hero Arts Sizzix stamp and die set using more Seedless Preserves ink.
The final touches were a Papermania Bellissima sentiment, some large pearls and a trio of lilac gems.

Kitty Bee Showcase Project - Easter Basket

It's time for my monthly showcase project for Kitty Bee.  This time I've made an Easter basket featuring the super cute Easter Egg Bunny digi from the Kitty Bee Etsy store, which I've coloured with Promarkers, then fussy cut before sticking to the basket.
The basket started out as a plain brown mache one, I painted it with blue acrylic paint, then decorated it, with grass along the bottom, which was made with a Marianne die, and clouds, which I made with Joy dies.  I then added my fussy cut coloured image and finished with a layered bow which I topped with a Papermania fabric embellishment that has been lurking in my stash for ages.
For an Easter treat, I filled the basket with chocolate bunnies, after lining it with yellow tissue paper.
