Hopeton Lindo - For Whatever The Reason

Released in 1994 on the Irie Pen - Ras label. Hopetin Lindo aka The Pen, who has one of the smoothest voices in the reggae scene. He is also renowned for his lyric writing. He had many a big tune in the late 80's and early 90's who also released an album in 2007 (Turf). Watch out for "Original Territory"....classic

Johnny P - P Is For Perfect

Johnny P in the early 90s. Produced by Harold McLarty 'Mr. Biggs', rhythms by Firehous Crew.

"Orvill Morgan ("Johnny P") mixed his material between slack tunes such as "Give Man Bun" and "Girls Guide," decent spirituals and political compositions on this set. But dancehall dominated the session, featuring the suggestive, often vulgar fare that has dominated this decade's menu in that arena. P is a competent performer, no great or singular stylist, but able to communicate his messages with authority regardless of context. There was nothing here you couldn't get elsewhere, but it was done professionally and with exuberance."

Charlie Chaplin - Two Sides Of

January 15th was booked at Dynamic Studio. Steven Stanley, Jamaica's premier engineer, was called in to record this historic session. Charlie and his crew arrived a little after midnight and cases of Red Stripe were busted open.
From when the Radics started up and Charlie began to drop lyrics, the whole place tore down. It really was an experience to behold. As Charlie got hot, the crowd just exploded and the rhythm had to start up again and again. The engineer had a big grin. Flabba Hold (bass) was smiling all night...
