Digital B Vol. 1 Shine & Criss

Big rhythm from Digital B 1993, make sure you check it out.
this is a cd-rip, a vinyl rip you can find here if you prefer the more analog sound, this was still the time when they had problems mastering cd's and the cds sounded thin (i guess they still have that problem...).

Dirtsman - Acid

The brother of Papa San, Dirtsman was a similary inclined dancehall DJ until his brutal killing on december 21 1993. He was shot on his veranda by four gunmen, being pronounced dead on arrival at Spanish Town Hospital. His first chart appearance came with 'Thank You' in 1990, preceding 'Borrow Man' on Steely & Clevie's label. Later he teamed up with Philip Smart in New York, wich offered him further success with 'Hot This Year'.
Thanks to Crucial B for the contribution.

Shabba Ranks - Best Baby Father

Happy new year to everyone !!!

A Bobby Digital album that really established Shabba's name. Upon its release in 1989, Best Baby Father caused the kind of excitement that is usualy the preserve of hit 45s in the reggae world. The Jamaican hit "Peanie Peanie" is the equal of anything that was to follow. Thanks to Ninja B for the resources and treasures.

Dirts Man - Acid

The main body of Dirtman's tragically limited output was for Bobby Digital, as represented in this package - with the addition of his biggest hit, "Hot This Year", from New York's Philip Smart. His topics were the usual ones of a ragga chatter - guns, girls and his prowess at the mike - to wich he brought good humour and a very likeable personality (even when cleaning his gun).

Daddy Screw - Lover Man

Red Dragon - Bun Them

Spragga Benz - Jack It Up

Deejay's debuts are often their best albums - especially if packed with the hits that established them. This could easily be the case with Spragga's Jack It Up, which bring together the Stone Love 45 that brought him to wide attention ("Jump Up And Swear"), Dave Kelly's "Thing A Gwaan", Arrows "Jack It Up" and Winston Riley's "You Could A Deal", as well as hits from John John, Bobby Digital and Steelie & Clevie.

02. Spragga Benz - You Go Girl feat. Wayne Wonder
03. Spragga Benz - Jack It Up
04. Spragga Benz - Girls Hoorah
05. Spragga Benz - Mark Death
06. Spragga Benz - Things A Gwan
07. Spragga Benz - Who Next
08. Spragga Benz - Jump Up & Swear
09. Spragga Benz - No Fun Thing
10. Spragga Benz - Warning
11. Spragga Benz - Show Off & Model
12. Spragga Benz - Dem Flop

Ripe Cherry

Eric Donaldson's best-selling "Cherry Oh Baby", a Festival Song Competition winner in 1971, had been covered by both the Rolling Stones and UB40 when Bobby Digital showed how it could be updated for the digital age. This album btings Digital's successful singles together - including Cobra's remarkable "Tek Him".
