Born Pretty Store Nail Vinyls

Hi!

Today I'm going to show you a manicure I made with Nail Vinyls NS02 from Born Pretty Store. I think you all know Born Pretty Store, but just to make sure, here is a link to their nail art department where they have tons of nail art related items: stamping plates, glitters, rhinestones, dotting tools, brushes, foils and many other items.

Now on to the vinlys. Here is how they look:

Size: Width: 1,0 cm
Lenght: 2,8 cm
They are a bit too narrow for my nails, but because I made a delicate gradient this transition is not visible.

The use is pretty simple. You just stick them to your polished nails, you just have to make sure that the base polish is REALLY DRY! If you are careful you can use one sticker more than once.
You can polish over the sticker or sponge to get a gradient effect. I haven't tried stamping over this, but I'm not sure how would this work out, because there are small butterflies, and the stamping pattern wouldn't stand out the way it should.

For this manicure I used:
Born Pretty Store Nail Vinyls NS02
Revlon Peach Smoothie
P2 french kiss
China Glaze Strike a Rose

They were kind to offer 10% OFF code for my readers, just use COLLX31 at the check out.

Have you tried vinlys yet? This was my first try, and it was really easy!

Untried Polish Challenge - Two Colors

Hi!
It's Friday! Time for another manicure from Untried Polish Challenge.
For today I prepared manicure that I wanted to do immediately when I received my swap package from Amanda.
Through my 7 years of nail polish obsession I really changed my taste in colour and finish of nail polish, but I'm still not a glitter fan. When I saw Scandalous and Sparkling I said that this two beauties have to be mine someday, and now they are =))).

Now back to my manicure. For the base I used Essie Licorice (2 coats) flowed by one coat of Scandalous on my ring finger. I love the end result! I really don't like black on my nails, but this manicure looks classy to me.

Like it?
I'm really starting to enjoy this challenge, thankfully I have so many untried nail polishes that I can probably repeat this challenge at least twice.

Gradient hearts tutorial

Finally!
It was about time to publish this tutorial I promised more than a month ago.
Firstly I'd like to say, that this is not my idea. I saw it on YouTube ( click HERE), and because I really liked I decided to make a tutorial, with slightly different method.
*Because I had some issues with copyright I made a little bit different colour combination than in my previous post*

Here is the look I made:

Things you'll need:
-sponge
-scissors
-tape
-1 light nail polish and 3 for the gradient
-pen
-a bit of patience!

Now, let's get this nail party started!!!

Start off with light colour base!

I decided for Orly Pure Porcelain:

Prepare your protective/duct tape!

 Follow steps from 1-4

Step 1: Fold one end of tape, to get one none sticky end. It will come in handy when you'll try to "open the heart"

Step 2. Stick tape on your hand. Tape will lose a bit of stickiness, this lowers the possibility of ending up with glue residues on your nail, and prevents damaging base colour.

Step 3: Fold tape in half and draw half of heart on it. Cut it out!

Step 4: Unfold and paste tape on your nail. Try to put it in the middle. I think I've never succeeded =).

Prepare for the gradient!

I used China Glaze Ahoy, Revlon scented Mad about Mango and BarryM Peach Melba
Follow steps from 5-7

Apply gradient on your nails!

I did 2 coats of sponging, here is a picture after fist sponging:

Remove tape when sponging is still wet!

I was in a hurry when I made this tutorial, and because I haven't waited long enough my colour base is damaged because base was still a bit wet. Thank God for top coats!

Apply top coat!

As you can see, it didn't end up perfectly. Hearts are everywhere but in the middle, and my ring finger heart is completely crocked! I still like this gradient heart look despite that. Will you try it?
