100 days of creativity - week 2.

week two was a little slow going up onto instagram as the shorter days are definitely impeding on my photo taking time. i did get there eventually though ha ha!



a finish up of the beanie i started last week, as well as a start to a swatch for work, and a baby blankie with some yarns i was gifted as part of a yarn swap. ooh and there was a little fixing of my crocheted blankie that was developing a few holes after being on the couch for the last couple of years. and also a little end weaving on some wash cloths that my mum got to knitting.
i'm finding it quite hard to take interesting and different photos of my projects each day, so i think i'll keep juggling projects for the 100 days, so i don't bore everyone to tears...

this face has been the reason for radio silence. terribad tension headaches have been keeping me well away from my laptop and blogging. i had posts planned for thursday AND friday but my body just wouldn't co-operate.
rest and recuperation have and will continue to be on the agenda.



what to do when you can't find the tupperware smoothie container for a blueberry breakfast smoothie on the go? use one of the 280394 passata jars in the cupboard of course!
perfect size don't you think?
i'll definitely continue to use a jar for my smoothies as i can't for the life of me find that container!



i got to doing one of my most loathed tasks earlier this week, bra shopping! bleurgh!
thankfully the shop where i went, i (eventually) got fabulous service. always makes life a little easier!



i haven't had a lot of chance to get much f anything done this week, but i started this little swatch at ncb on wednesday night, and managed to get it all done!
it still needs a block but i do so LOVE those colours!

a little make-do...

when my folks came back from their trip to the us last year, they brought me back this shirt...



i was super thankful for another shirt, and i figured it would be great for exercising in and just generally kicking around the house in.
and then i tried it on...



it was SUPER tight around the collar! eep!

rather than putting it away in a drawer, never to be worn, or chucking it into the op-shop pile, i decided to get out my trusty scissors...



and with a few little snips...



much better!

i cut around the collar ribbing, and into a little 'v' and the shirt now fits MUCH more comfortably!
i wore it all day while i was doing yard work and relaxing around the house on sunday.

over the last few months, i've been trying on a bit of a different mind-set when i come across little problems like this... rather than scrunching things up, and discarding them, i'm trying to make-do with what i've got, for as long as i can...
working in retail, i feel like commercialism takes up quite a large part of my life, so if i can make do without having to buy new, for as long as i can, i'm a happy gal!
