After a year here...Northern Illinois has impressed me...the same excitement that I found in the professors who introduced me to economics 7 years ago is the same that I see in every professor here...a kind of genuine interest in the students...while I felt that from some professors at the U of I, it wasn't universal...there always seemed to be a disconnect between the students and the professors...research is what was paramount in their minds, and teaching was just something counting for 30% of their credentials on the road to tenure...let me repeat..this was not the case for all professors, but you know how one or two can spoil the bunch...

Between the opening and the endgame, the gods have placed ... Finals Week.
