"Christmas Time.....in April"

So, this morning Lauren comes into our room from waking up and says, "Mom, it is almost christmas time again. Look at all the snow!" Indeed, there was a lot of snow and it is still snowing. Christmas in April!! Looks like were going shopping for some presents to cheer us up.

Catherine had Kindermusik today as well and so we braved the storm to go sing. i took a few pics while driving. One leaving McDonald's (diet coke run), and on the way there. I kept dreaming of Hawaii!!

so this morning i have been looking at planning our vacation. we need some warm weather and fast!!

Spring colors in my yard

I love spring!!! Spring and Fall are my favorite times of the year. as much as i love summer, sometimes it is a bit hot for me. however, the feeling of new life when spring comes is such a great feeling. Here are a few pics of the colors in my yard that i am loving. Hyacinths, tulips, and plants i have no idea what they are called. i have an apricot tree which gets us singing popcorn popping on the apricot tree lots, and a cherry tree. i planted strawberries as well this year, so i can have as many chocolate dipped strawberries whenever i want!! (my very favorite)

From snow to spring in just a few days!!

So we went from snow to spring in a matter of days. On april 6th, we got dumped with snow and then by that saturday the 10th, we were spring cleaning, mowing, and weeding!! Seriously, that is the month of april here in utah.

What happened to the month of March?

I feel like I have been so far behind on my life. The last week and a half, i have been so sick and haven't worked out once. My kids are going crazy being in the house too much, and then it snows last week.....what to do? so, we did a lot of baking of cookies and easter treats for lauren's teachers. I have attched some pictures of the treats. they were so fun to make and give. i got the idea from another blog.
Easter, which means new dresses from Grandma Janet. They looked adorable i think in matching dresses. although, girls in pink no matter who they are look cute.
catherine is now 18 months and lauren 3 1/2. here's a few pics just to show how fast they grow up.

This is us this morning at our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. Yep, in the snow!! but they loved it and it didn't take catherine long to learn to put the eggs in the basket.

Our favorite meal is spaghetti and brocoli. My girls devour it every time and it gets all over the place, but so fun. catherine can eat an entire head of brocoli all by herself she loves it that much!!!!


This is the treat we made for her teachers. Graham crackers, m & m's, peeps, and brown sugar!! cute huh?!!

And just some cute pictures to show them as sisters!! I love that they hold hands and how catherine looks at lauren like that. They have their bad moments, but the good times are so cute that it makes it good.
