Ava

Good morning all.

Thank you for your comments on my makes over the last few days...Lora definitely wouldn't appreciate the new look to her empty bottle so it's destined for my bedroom or bathroom me thinks!

Well the rain has held off most of the week here so far, though I think it is forecast for this afternoon. Thank goodness the temperature has gone up a little though!

A birthday card to share today for one of my sisters who has a birthday in November.

I've made a rocker card using my favourite grand fancy circles dies, which I haven't used for a while. Card is centura pearl from Crafter's Companion. My image is called  Ava from Saturated Canary and I've coloured her with promarkers and fussy cut. Papers are from KandCo (a several year old 12 x 12 pad) and First Edition. Fern and butterfly die are from Marianne Design, all other dies from Spellbinders. Sentiment from LOTV. Ribbons, flowers, gems and charm are mostly very old stash.

(Promarkers used: Cornflower and China Blue; Honeycomb, Saffron and Vanilla; Oatmeal, Mustard Buttercup and Eggnog)

Crafting for all Seasons #55 Make it Girly

Good morning all.
Sorry I've not been around much but I've been busy with wedding stuff again, I think it's all under control now! Can't believe it's just over a week away now.

I'm off out for a day to Alnwick Castle and Gardens with hubby's Aunties and Uncle who are in Northumberland on holiday. Hoping the weather stays dry! Will also be able to check out the wedding venue whilst we're there.

Today it's time for a new challenge at CFAS and this time the theme is "Make it Girly". We're  looking forward to seeing all your makes. We're being sponsored by Saturated Canary who gave the DT images to work with. This is a birthday card for my niece ready for next month.

I chose Muriel to work with and coloured her with promarkers before die cutting with a Spellbinders die. Papers are from Echo Park. Card is finished with a twine bow, charm and sentiment from my stash.

I've attached the sentiment with a springy thing which was a little bent! I love how this turned out, considering it was made in double quick time it all fell together peaceably...do like it when that happens!

Christmas Crafting (with sketches) #47

It's time for our next challenge over at CCWS and we hope you're playing along with us this year and stocking up on those Christmas cards and projects. It's the Snow Angels turn this week and it was Marion's turn to design the sketch this time and we also have a twist of "add flags or banners". We are being sponsored by Saturated Canary and the Design Team were given some images to work with.

The image is called Christmas Angel and is coloured with promarkers, highlighted with stickles and die cut with a deckled edge nestie die. Papers are from Papermania which I treated myself to last week. Flag dies are from Spellbinders and although I've had them a while this is there first airing! Card is finished with ribbons, binders twine and silver beaded cord.
