On Safari

Thank goodness the wind has died down somewhat, it's a lovely bright day here but a tad chilly! Hubby is busy laying new flooring in my craft room so hopefully I'll get sorted in there next weekend after I get home from York. A quick post before my online grocery shop arrives.

Made for hubby using Joanna Sheens Jayne Netley Mayhew CD for the image and backing paper. Corner dies from Spellbinders, card is finished with a ribbon and a sentiment.

Challenges entered:
Birthday Sundaes - birthday card
CD Sunday - on safari
Here come the Boys - for the man/men in your life
Delicious Doodles - hairy legs

Image and backing paper from Joanna Sheens Jayne Netley Mayhew CD, these have been sitting in my bit box for goodness knows how long just waiting to be put to good use. I haven't used a sentiment yet as I haven't decided whether I'll use it for FIL's birthday or Father's Day.

Challenges entered:

Cupcake - boy oh boy
Creative Inspirations - card for Dad
Fresh Brewed - it's a guy thing

Butterflies

Spent a lovely afternoon relaxing in the sunshine in the garden with my pile of craft magazines - it felt so good after years of owning and running holiday parks to be at home on a Bank Holiday - retirement = bliss.
Made a couple of quickie cards from my bit box this evening, the first for the CD Sunday challenge of butterflies.
Both the image and the backing paper came from Joanna Sheens Jayne Netley Mayhew CD. I have layered up the butterflies to give them some dimension and highlighted the wings with a Sakura stardust gelly roll pen. Card is finished with a knotted ribbon and some pearls.

Card for a Centenarian

Was the remit from my Mum to give a male aquaintance. I hope this fits the bill!
I've used an image and backing paper from Joanna Sheens Jayne Netley Mayhew CD all printed onto pearlescent paper. The gold mirri card is embossed with a flourish embossing folder from Creative Expressions. Sentiment stamp from LOTV. Card is finished with some ribbon, a bow, a button, some peel off corners and some gems.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Bunny Zoes - One for the Boys
Little Claires - Animals

And that's all for today folks, many thanks for taking the time to look and comment - I do appreciate it.
