Good morning all. Weather was a bit cloudier yesterday but still nice, hoping it stays nice for the weekend.

I've done a layout for this one. Sadly this will be the final challenge as Ann has decided to close her store along with the challenge blog. Good news we're having a blog hop (see challenge blog for full details) and one commenter on each of the DT blogs will win a product of their choice from Crafty Ann's.

Using  Crafty Ann's latest scrap kit " A Picture Paints a Thousand Words", a music collage digi and a photo of my brother and his wife. The layout was created in Craft Artist.

Crafty Ann's #83 Love Actually

Good morning all. We had a gorgeous day yesterday, I hope it continues. I eventually got a dozen red roses yesterday after hubby bid a hasty retreat to Asda once he realised what day it was!! I mean it only happens every year...what is it with men??
We're off to Edinburgh today to the zoo then hubby wants me to go to Hobbycraft to buy wallpaper for my doll's house so he can get on making it!! Wonder what else will fall in the basket.
It's time for a new challenge at  Crafty Ann's and this week the theme is "Love Actually".
I've done a layout for this one.

Using  Crafty Ann's latest scrap kit " A Picture Paints a Thousand Words" and a photo of our three children taken the day our youngest was born. The layout was created in Craft Artist.

Crafty Ann's #82 Tie a Yellow Ribbon

It's time for a new challenge at  Crafty Ann's and this week the theme is "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" - so you need something tied, something yellow and a ribbon.
I got to this point writing this when I realised I hadn't used a ribbon on mine doh! Back to the craft room to see if I could rescue things......one inch of yellow ribbon sitting on the windowsill so with the aid of my tweezers I managed to tie it around the twine bow....phew!

Using a pre-coloured daffodil digi available from Crafty Ann's, two lengths of bakers twine and a computer generated sentiment....and not forgetting the yellow ribbon!

Do pop over to the challenge blog to see Ann and team's inspiration, you won't be disappointed.

Another new week which I hope will be better than the last. I need to make large inroads into the wedding stationery so I can get the invites delivered at the beginning of the month.
Today's share is a little play I had last week in Craft Artist using a new kit from Crafty Ann. I couldn't resist downloading the kit as soon as Ann sent it over.

The kit is called "A Picture Paints a Thousand Words" and includes
  • 15 Papers
  • 63 Elements + some of them with shadows
  • 15 paint blobs for the palette
  • 15 coloured tips for the small paint brush
  • 15 coloured tips for the large paint brush.

Crafty Ann's #80 White Christmas

Another fortnight gone and it's time for a new challenge at  Crafty Ann's and this week the theme is White Christmas - we want to see white on white projects but you may use a coloured image.

Image is a pre-coloured poinsettia which I've printed several times and decoupaged, it is available from Crafty Ann's Digi Shop. The rocker card and layers are all cut using fancy grand nestie dies, the second layer being embossed with a tied together folder. Ribbon and sentiment from my stash. Snowflakes are punch waste. I don't think you can see the white stickles added to the snowflakes.
I've left the card fairly plain and simple as I wanted it flat for posting.

Do pop over to the challenge blog to see Ann and the teams creations, you won't be disappointed. This is our last challenge of the year but we'll be back on the 4th January next year!

Crafty Ann's #79 Birds/Animals

Just spent a lovely couple of nights down in York with my Mum, 3 younger sisters, my brother's wife and my niece. We arrived by train at lunchtime on Tuesday then spent the afternoon in the spa. Wednesday we shopped till we dropped - quite literally then had a meal at Jamie's Italian. Thursday morning we finished off the shopping before heading home on the early afternoon train shortly before all the bad weather set in. I was exhausted when I arrived home and very footsore!! I hope to catch up with everyone later today.

Another fortnight gone and it's time for a new challenge at  Crafty Ann's and this week we want to see all those birds and animals on your creations - no people allowed!

I've chosen to do a layout of Freya lying in the sun. I've used papers and elements from Sweet Sage, Rhapsody in Blue and Tempting Turquoise scrapping kits - these are all available from Crafty Ann's Digi Shop. All the digi kit prices have been reduced in the shop and are now 95p or less each - you get loads with each kit and they all work well together. Ann also has a couple of freebies available if you'd like to try before you buy.

This layout was produced in Craft Artist.

The layout was produced in Craft Artist.
I've gone for the top row of gems, ribbons and flowers.

Christmas Crafting (with sketches) #49

It's time for our next challenge over at CCWS and we hope you're playing along with us this year and stocking up on those Christmas cards and projects. It's the Snow Angels turn this week and it was Miranda's turn to design the sketch this time. We are being sponsored by Delicious Doodles and the Design Team were given some images to work with.

My image is called Little Angel which I digitally pieced using papers from Crafty Ann's, then touched up with promarkers and stickles after printing. My papers and elements all came from a kit called Christmas Around the World. I finally got my printer to work and managed to print and make this card in time for the challenge. Card is finished with some gems, stickles, a poinsettia and a sentiment from my stash.

Crafty Ann's #73 Turquoise/Aqua plus Purple/Lilac

It's time for another challenge at Crafty Ann's and we have a choice for you this time - either a monochrome card in shades of turquoise/aqua, or lilac/purple or you can do a duotone card using both of these colour palettes. These colours only please, this isn't a general monochrome challenge." . I've chosen to do a layout.

The papers and elements are a mix from Imperial Purple, Tempting Turquoise and the Pretty in Pink scrap kits which are all available from  Crafty Ann's Digi Shop. The photos were taken on holiday 16 years ago when the boys were just 5 and 3. Gary spent two whole weeks snorkelling - he hates water now! We always laugh when we see him in his first pair of glasses though, they were real Dennis Taylor ones (only those of a certain age will know what I mean lol ).
