Times of Refreshing...

It is VSN weekend, and I was able to make a few cards...this is one of them! I made this for MAY11VSNA - to use Kraft, Light Green and Aqua! Such a calming color combo! I thought it would be perfect for this sentiment From the Porch set from Our Daily Bread Designs.

The sketch from this card is from this week's CPS challenge. The DP is from Basic Grey, the flowers are from Zva Creative, and the ribbons are from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store!

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a wonderful weekend!

NOV08VSNF- Your in the Spotlight Now!

I made this card for NOV08VSNF - where we were to use the spotlight technique. When I saw this challenge, this Collage of Leaves stamp set from Innovative Stamp Creations popped right into my head! I just love this image...it is so very detailed. To start, I heat embossed the background image with black on confetti cream paper. Then I colored a portion of the image with my SU! markers and then stamped my versamark over it which mingled some of the colors together. I then stamped the image and covered with clear embossing powder. I then cut out the circle and layered it with some pumpkin pie paper.
I then added the ribbon across the bottom, and put the sentiment over that...which I thought was very appropriate for this card..."Appreciate It"...appreciate fall and the wonderful colors it has in store for us every year!

VSN Weekend

Well it was VSN weekend on SCS, this past Friday and Saturday. I joined in on 12 different challenges...yes 12, and enjoyed every one of them. Since this is my first post to my new blog, I am not ambitious enough to post all 12 cards here, so I decided to start with my favorite of the group.

The challenge I based this card on was to use inchies (inch images) on your card. I decided to use Pocket Silhouettes. While they are not technically an inch in size, I trimmed them to "fit the bill" so to speak. I really do like the way they turned out in the inch size. I also am really loving this color combo...it is just so soft and serene.
The card details:
Paper: SU! Always Artichoke and Mellow Moss card stock and Always Artichoke DSP
Ink: Always Artichoke
Accessories: White Satin Ribbon, Silver HPH, Oval punch
